Arm strength. For all his intangible which are awesome he has the tendency to float alot of balls which would be picked off in the NFL I'd much rather have Murray. Well have to wait till pro days
Why so many people scared?

Before the draft a lot of people were scared of drafting a bust

It happened on an extraordinary level, so now people are terrified

That's my only explanation at least. I'm all for Teddy though
Ummmmmm...you knock Teddy because of arm strength then say you would much rather have Murray??? That is legit belly laugh out loud funny right there.

Murray plays against the riggors of the SEC! Bridgewater plays nobody and when he beats an SEC team, we must find ways to say it meant nothing.

every article i looked at and tape i saw indicated his arm strength is fine. we don't need someone launching 50+ yard balls all the time, it's that intermediate area that we need a good passer and he can do those.

Gabbert has ruined some of you. You're like a man afraid to remarry because his first wife was Lorena Bobbit.

Know who else played against the rigors of the SEC?

Jamarcus Russell and Danny Wuerffel.

Know who else were perceived to play against a comparatively lower level of competition?

Ben Roethlisberger, Joe Flacco, and Steve Young.
arm strength is overrated.  yes, you need it but you don't have launch rockets like leftwich, jeff george, and favre to be a good qb.

just see brees, brady, and manning.

Arm strength was the knock on Drew Brees.  I don't know if it was a knock on Tom Brady, because he was so far off the draft radar.

Jamarcus Russell, Kyle Boller, David Garrard, and our own Blaine Gabbert can throw it the length of the field, though.

Not advocating Bridgewater or anything, just saying his arm looks plenty fine to me.

Sorry, I was just joking.

You haven't seen him play much have you? He has TD's in the past of over 55 yard plays, in the air. He flicks his wrist and the ball goes 35.

You are correct, but he can do that.
I'm no judge on arm strength, but haven't most scouts said that he has good arm strength?

So-so arm strength was also a concern for Andrew Luck. It seems to be working out fine for him.

I'll trust Caldwell. If he thinks Teddy is the guy I'll be glad he's drafted, if he doesn't think that then I'll be waiting to see who he does fine worthy of the Jaguars' pick.
Teddy has plus arm strength, no doubt. It's not a cannon, but he makes up for it with touch. Guys like Tim Couch and Sam Bradford deserved some doubt for having subpar arm talent, but I have no idea why people were concerned about Andrew Luck.

Adam Shefter....

I went to both the Florida Louisville game and the Florida Georgia game. Teddy was night and day better than Murray. It's not like Florida is some push over defense, either. Florida's defense last year was a top 5 unit in the country. I was sold on Teddy after he torched us.
This argument is [BLEEP].

People see a QB that actually has perfect touch/ perfect arc on his passes and assume that he doesn't have the arm strength. Teddy consistently puts the ball where his WR's have a good chance to make a play, but also where the DB usually cannot.

I guess people would rather have the "no arc" deep passes of David Garrard that leave the WR with no chance to make a play....

Just stop with this crap.

I've seen Teddy gun it in there where its warranted, too.

People just have to look for flaws.....even where there is none. smh....

If you don't think Bridgewater has plus arm strength after watching the throw at 0:53, then you're evaluating quarterbacks incorrectly. That's as much of an NFL throw as the back-shoulder out routes he eats for breakfast.
