There was a comic who said something to the effect of if there were ever a question regarding the levels of human decency, always bet the under.

Can you imagine what these people would do with Gabbert?!?
Quote:I loved the comment in the comment section: "at least when a Raiders or 49ers fan does this, they have some success in their history to account for the crazyness.....it's like all of a sudden, the Texans have become the Eagles"..... Laughing Laughing

Great line ripping both teams fans and both teams.

I got a chuckle outta that too.

After the Colts game, my son wanted to wait outside the stadium to see the players leaving. There were probably 100 or so people out there waiting. When Gabbert came out, I didn't hear one remark. Not directly to him or even under someone's breath.

I was surprised but I know out fans have more class than alot of other places.

It appears Schaub is done in Houston, but I can't say I'm sad to see the Texans implode like this.

Stay classy Houston.

So much hype. So little delivery.
As a fan of an 0-6 team, I think I will refrain from any smack talk to Texan fan. I have zero room to go there.

Plus, over the years, I have found the Texan fans to be the most like the Jag fans here. I have a lot of love and respect for those fans.

Colt fans used to annoy me a very long time ago, but they have matured about winning, and hold themselves in a dignified way for the most part these days. I appreciate that.

tack fan, well, aside from the rare exception to the rule, is a hideous, vile creature. Just like tack player. All, save a limited few, should be banished to the very bowels of hell.

The texans days atop the division was very short lived. The Colts are back where they belong.

I don't have any sympathy for any other team's fan. None of the other AFCS fans have had it as bad as the Jaguars. The Jaguars are the only team in the division to never win an AFCS title.

The texans are imploding because they don't have a QB. They should have taken advantage of one of the guys falling back in April to take a shot.

I don't hold any sympathy for any other AFCS fan.....the other division/ and InterConference teams are enemies. Period.
I feel bad for the Texans.  Schaub had a good thing going with all those pick 6's, and now his record is ruined.  If only TJ Yates pick six yesterday could have counted.

lol contenders. gabbert for keenum straight up. do it dave.

The Texans are going to draft Derek Carr and it will be a repeat of 2002-2010 all over!

GET BACK IN THE CELLAR YOU TINHORNS!

Texans will take Johnny Football.

...and then be set back a few years as JJ Watt gets older and eventually leaves.

A case can be made that the Jaguars are the team that began the Texans downward slide and likely closed the door on the Texans window with their current core group of players.     While the Texans finally beat the Jaguars in OT last season,     the Texans lost their swagger/  confidence that day.        The Texans were very fortunate to defeat the Lions on Thanksgiving Day 4 days later.    Then in their next game at New England on a MNF contest,    the Texans hardly put up any resistance.     Of course,  J.J.  Watt came to play but the team as a whole was nothing like the Texans team prior to their OT win over the Jaguars.

Andre Johnson aint getting any younger for the Texans either.

I had a post that suggested the above on the old board, in this very forum and the Texan fans were laughing at that notion. I don't think they'd be laughing much anymore.....that is if they ever show their face around here again. Haven't seen those old Texan regulars lately....

That's a substantial reason why I believe the Texans window is on the verge of closing,   if it hasn't happened yet.

The good news for the Texans is as long as they have a relatively J.J. Watt,   they have a differential player on the Defensive side of the ball that they can build that unit around for many years to come.

   Good call.

My guess is that the Texans were either # 1 or # 2 in the consensus NFL Power Rankings before they struggled to defeat the Jaguars in OT.     Since that game,   the Texans haven't looked anything like a team at or near the top of the NFL.       I was shocked how poorly their Offense performed when watching them in Game # 15 vs. the Vikings last season.     Then a week later at Indianapolis,   they couldn't even hold the AFC # 2 seed in a game the Colts didn't really need to win.        Even after the Texans held off the Bengals in the first round of the playoffs,   did anyone other than the most optimistic Texans fan believe they would win at New England in the 2nd round of the playoffs?       Basically,  the answer is no.

This season,   I picked the Colts to win the AFC South,  largely based on my very high opinion of Andrew Luck and the way the Texans finished last season.      While the season is still young,   this is one prediction I remain confident in.
I hope AJ retires this year.

It's astounding, how quick the Texans went from contenders to pretenders.

Kubiak has to go.
