Quote:You'll be amazed at how fixing the problem at QB will help make other problems seem not as big.

Not with the amount of holes on this team.

Pittsburgh and NYG have elite QBs, yet they don't have enough (even with more talented teams than ours around them) to overcome all their problems.  Both have the same record as we do even with outstanding veteran QBs.

Folks are grossly underestimating how truly lacking of talent we are at all 22 positions.  Fixing the most important one still leaves us well short of where we need to be.

Exactly.

If we could somehow create the perfect QB and put him on the roster right now, the team still needs a viable RB, four OLs, a TE, at least two DEs, another LB or two, and maybe another CB.

Eli has not played like an elite QB for some time now.
Quote:The Jaguars also unfortunately had to put to bed reports of the team being interested in free agent quarterback Tim Tebow. Rumors and "reports" surfaced on Wednesday that the Jaguars would be signing him and/or giving him a tryout, but the team quickly said those reports had no truth whatsoever to them.

Quote:So, this is coachspeak, but Caldwell saying Marcedes is a cornerstore/core guy/whatever isn't?

Its "coachspeak" until you do something/ thing(s) stupid enough to then not be given that benefit of the doubt. i.e. this past weeks handling of Monroe.

Caldwell's stock/ reputation is falling like a rock.

He's really starting to seem no better than Gene or Shack.

Finally, we agree on something.

You don't get a reputation like that by accident.  It's earned.  Every single bit of it.

Continuing to fill in holes in the draft like they did and signing even some mid-range free agents will help.

And look at the Giants roster. I don't honestly think it's that much better than ours.

Nobody. Blackmon is back.

You know, sometimes you seem like a nice, likable guy who just has strong opinions.

And then threads like this happen and it's really hard to think you're anything other than someone trying to stir the pot.

Too bad.
