If they would just bench Slo-mo-Jo Drew and play Todman, the running game would also get a boost.
As bad as MJD looks this year, he's still been more productive than Todman.
Blackmon will help, but the OL is still a disaster.
I'm a die-hard Jags fan, but I have to say I kind of agree. This is the worst team I've ever seen. I do think they would beat Bama for obvious reasons, but I think the winless Lions were actually better. KC got the first pick last year because of strength of schedule or whatever, but I think even that 2-14 team would have steamrolled our 2-14 team. That doesn't really matter though because we still got the "# 1" pick in Joekel as well as the first pick in the second round, Cyprien. Win-win for us even though we probably were the worst team in football last year (too).
This team is completely inept. There's no hope and there is not one game on the schedule I see us winning, even if teams are resting their starters at the end of the season. I can only hope our number one draft pick next year (as well as the first pick in all the other rounds) yields some serious playmakers. Everybody seems to be off the Clowney bandwagon and on the Bridgewater bandwagon. I'm not sold on him though. I'd like to see Clowney at number one and dare I say Manziel with our second or third round pick? He reminds me a little of Russell Wilson, which we all know Bradley has ties to. I'm sure Manziel will slip into the later rounds due to size and probably even character concerns, but that kid can play. After watching him torch Bama two years in a row...the same Bama team that's the closest thing college football has to an NFL caliber team, I'm sold. I think he could be a steal in a later round and prove any NFL doubters wrong. (I'm no A&M fan for the record)
Here's to sucking for (fill in the blank) like the Colts did a couple years ago lol
Predicted 4 wins this season
Scratch off Oakland
Cleveland, split the Titans, and throw a miracle upset somewhere.

I predicted five wins. I feel like a fool.
I honestly think we only win two games this year. While we're not "worst of all time" bad...we're still pretty freakin bad.
If we draft Teddy in round one, Ebron in round two, shore up the interior line with draft picks and maybe a big name guy, I could see us being a 6-8 win team in 2014.
Its possible... this team is awful
So what if this is the worst team ever? Just like the 0-16 Lions, we're going to rebound in 3-5 years and get back to mediocrity.
Ok so haven't posted in a while, but I was actually coming on here to start a thread like this. Hate to be a lurker and come out of the wood work with this, but this pretty much true. I have watched football since the 80s and I honestly can't remember a team in the NFL this bad or really even close. Mike and MIke are right, this team is worse than the 0-16 Lions, that team actually scored points, this team is PAINFUL to watch.
Through a Q of the season, the offense has only scored one real offensive TD. Scoring in the Seahawks game was a joke as the game was out of hand and they were dropped into prevent and pulled key players.
This is abismal, its not just embarassing, its all time bad. It's so bad I am actually starting to jump on the "doubting Kahn's intentions" bandwagon. How on earth can anybody put together such a horrible team? Its honestly like the team isn't even trying. This team is either playing for the number 1 pick because they love somebody to draft (I don't really see that being the case) or Kahn's trying to make this team suck so bad that nobody in the USA will be mad when he takes them over seas.
This team is an absolute joke, even Henne whose had flashes of good games (but always blows it with dumb INTs) in his career can't move the ball what so ever all of a sudden? Really?
It's not just the talent on the field, does anybody here honestly think if JDR was the coach it would be this sloppy and embarrasing?

Bahahaha, Cleveland? Have you seen their D this year? Did you miss their new QB, thier awesome TE and the return of Josh Gordon?
Titans? Titans are just starting to look legit, unless Locker out for longer than I'm aware, then MAYBE if Locker is out, if he plays now way.
If you guys look at it without bias, the argument is valid. Arent we being outscared something like 75-8 in the first half? The 2008 Lions scored 10+ in almost every game.
I expect us to pick it up a bit once Blackmon is back and Marcedes is healthy, but Its very possible we still could be worse.
I cant find any box scores or stats of the 1972 bucs, but it really is irrelevant to compare that with a modern team. You cant compare the 1900's football to 2000's football. Totally different games.
Worst offense maybe, our defense is way better than it seems.
Comparing a 0-16 team to a 0-4 team is just stupid. At least wait until such time that they are both 0-16.
Lets see what happens with Blackmon back. This is week is as good a time as any to get a win.
Can't say I disagree with them. They are a sports radio talk show so it's their job to talk about the teams in the NFL. Someone has to be the worst, and we're that team.

Agreed. I think there might actually be something special in our defense. If we can add a young pass rusher and another CB there is real potential. We were slowing down luck and the colts with a bunch of low-mid level FAs and rookies all over the defense. We had him rattled and missing wide open throws.
From what I have seen thus far, at this point in the season we are the worst NFL team I have ever witnessed.
I hope with more games, and Blackmon back something will gel. Blackmon would catch the ones Shorts is dropping all over the field. Marcedes isn't going to do anything for us this year.
I think the only chances we have for a victory are Arz and Buff. If I had to bet, I would say 1-15.
Having tickets since inception and being an NFL fan for more years than I care to admit, this analysis is spot on.
If Shad has any pride, he will fix this ASAP. This year was no attempt to improve, that's obvious. It was focused on marketing.
My concern is the future. If they don't make some serious FA acquisitions, I will question Khans motives.
Tampa is in the running to lose more games as well, and they are in the QB sweepstakes... They are a better team on paper and should win a couple games. The Jags? With the no improvement in any area coaching, the rah rah mentality and no discipline in coaching or the players, I can't see them winning any games, and giving the city the dubious distinction of being at least one of the worst teams...ever.
The fans deserve better.
I will reserve judgement until next year. If the organization goes solely on building through the draft and not picking up some key players, then the losing will continue, and I'll wonder if that's intentional. Just my opinion, I could be right.
Quote:Trying to figure out how "Mike & Mike" can be "singular" as worded in the opening post...
oh, and we're not worse than the 0-16 Lions. The Jags will not end up winless this season. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Jags win this upcoming week.
People are exaggerating how bad this current team really is. Its bad, but by seasons end, you'll see its no worse than your average run of the mill bad NFL team.
Jags will not end up winless this season?
Okay, which team exactly do you think we can beat on our schedule?? If you think that we are going to beat Rams, you should think again.
I love Jags and this team might not be the worst NFL team ever, but its really close to being one. We will not win any games this season and anyone who thinks different has not been watching the team play this season.

The Jags can beat the Rams. I wouldn't be shocked at all if they did. The Jags could also beat Tennessee without Locker, IMO. Arizona is another potential win.
So theres at least 3-13 on my count.
As said before, people are overexaggerating how bad they think the Jags are. With Blackmon back, the team will win a few games. Plus, KC, Indianapolis, and SD are better teams than people realize.
I have to agree with Mad Dog, the Rams are probably our best chance because we'll get a little bit of momentum with Blackmon returning.. unfortunately the Broncos will smash that momentum next week.

You might look for a year the Bucs were actually playing to find stats.
