I cant find any box scores or stats of the 1972 bucs, but it really is irrelevant to compare that with a modern team. You cant compare the 1900's football to 2000's football. Totally different games.

As said, people are way overreacting to how bad the Jags really are.....from the stupid, lazy media who just say hyperbolic things for ratings, to the sheep that take what the media say and believe it...
The Jaguars are a bad team, yes.....but when the seasons over you will see that they aren't much different than any other run of the mill bad team over the years. Granted this still might be enough for the 1st overall pick, but by no means is that a lock.
As said, I won't be shocked if the 2013 Jags wind up with more wins than the 2012 Jags

I think differently. Even the 0-16 Lions could score points. The new QBR really tells the story of our offense -- facts that one can't hide by getting 85% of our yards and points in garbage time.
We measure success by getting beyond the 50 yard line.

We scored 17 vs the Seahawks....one of the better defenses in the league....without Blackmon.
Again, the teams we played so far are better than people seem to realize.
The Jags will either beat or come very close to beating the Rams this weekend. Book it. The 12 point line is a gift.....take the Jags and cash in.

Going to the games is getting damn close to unbearable. I've only missed one home game, ever, but I have a sneaking suspicion that may change this year. I'm just having trouble tolerating it anymore. The only games that I'm truly looking forward to are the games on Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas weekend...and that's because of the tailgating food those two games.

2013 Giants might be worse

Quote:The Jags can beat the Rams. I wouldn't be shocked at all if they did. The Jags could also beat Tennessee without Locker, IMO. Arizona is another potential win.
So theres at least 3-13 on my count.
As said before, people are overexaggerating how bad they think the Jags are. With Blackmon back, the team will win a few games. Plus, KC, Indianapolis, and SD are better teams than people realize.
We are already 12 point underdog against Rams which is one of the worst teams in the NFL but they have a lot more talent than we do. I expect Bradford to light it up against us and easily win with 31-10 score. They are very talented on defense and have a great potential on offense as well if they can get better play out of Bradford who has same problems that Gabbert does but he has more experience. I will be shocked if Jags can score more then 10 points, let alone win.
Arizona is the only team that we have very slight chance of beating but most likely that is not going to happen. We do not have a chance against the Titans what so ever.
Our only chance of winning this season was against the Raiders and that game was not even close. Don't be fooled by the score.

is this another one of your "stone cold lock of the century of the week" predictions?
you seem to be off on most of these. i hope you aren't spending real money on this.

We don't have a home game on Thanksgiving weekend.
Sorry.

If by "most of these" you mean - "last time you said this" i.e. Seattle - which I said they'd cover, then yes, you are correct. I got that one wrong.
However, last year when I did the Jags predictions, I was usually very acccurate, almost to the exact score.
The Jags will not be blown out this weekend, will cover, and have a good chance to win the game outright. The Rams are terrible on offense. Blackmon's presence will help the Jags offense.

I've been watching football for damn close to 50 years.
They are THAT bad.
They'd have to improve drastically to suck.

I don't think they are that bad.
KC is very good.
Indy is very good.
Seattle is very good.
They only lost by 10 to the Raiders on the road and didn't have Blackmon.
If the Jags get blown out this week, THEN people claiming that this Jags team really IS that bad will have a case. However, I do not see it happening. Jags will give the Rams all they can handle this week.

Why?? Are they somehow worldbeaters in your eyes? Without Locker, that team is very beatable.

Obviously, you didn't watch the game. We were down 31-0 at the 6:31 mark of the 3rd quarter and the hawks basically put in their 2nd team for most of the 2nd half.
On 1 scoring drive, intercepted the ball and the OFFENSE DROVE 2 YARDS FOR A TD TO MAKE IT 31-7
The only reason they didn't put their 3rd string in is because there is a limitation of players a team can keep on the roster.
