Quote:I don't think they are that bad.
KC is very good.
Indy is very good.
Seattle is very good.
They only lost by 10 to the Raiders on the road and didn't have Blackmon.
If the Jags get blown out this week, THEN people claiming that this Jags team really IS that bad will have a case. However, I do not see it happening. Jags will give the Rams all they can handle this week.
They really are that bad. When you look at bad teams in the past they were competitive in some games. We consider it encouraging if we string 3 first downs together, which I don't recall if we've even done that in 4 games.
Our #1 offensive weapon is lethargic, our #1 pass receiver is on the sideline, our pass rush is pedestrian, our secondary play is confusing, our tackling sucks, our coaching sucks worse, the offensive line is offensive. We've scored a total of 3 points on offense AT HOME in two games. How can anyone say "we're not that bad"? SMH.

@ Mad Dog
This team has been outscored 80-8 in the first half. They are not bad. They are atrocious.

Worst in the league currently. Extremely debateable about worst team/s of all time. There have been a lot.

Quote:Obviously, you didn't watch the game. We were down 31-0 at the 6:31 mark of the 3rd quarter and the hawks basically put in their 2nd team for most of the 2nd half.
On 1 scoring drive, intercepted the ball and the OFFENSE DROVE 2 YARDS FOR A TD TO MAKE IT 31-7
The only reason they didn't put their 3rd string in is because there is a limitation of players a team can keep on the roster.
Seattle is also deep and their 2nd string defense is still good.
The Jags were missing Blackmon as well.
Sorry, but I think people are overreacting to how "bad" they think this team is. I don't see it as "historically" bad. I see it as just as bad as any other usual bottom 5 team in the league on any given year.

You have to be kidding me. Tell me one positive that has occurred while the other team has been trying.
They were without Blackmon? What's he going to do, throw the ball to himself?
I repeat. I have been watching NFL football for damn close to 50 years. I've seen some really bad teams. Hell I grew up on the 60's and 70's Eagles. None compare to this team.
Could they improve? Theoretically. I've seen nothing to support that however.
And I wouldn't put KC in a 'really good' category just yet. They've played ONE .500 team and the combined records of their opponents is 3-13.

I want to win this one just to spite Yosemite Fisher.

I don't want to win this one, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do.
I'll start rooting for victories when some space develops between the Jags & the next closest persuor to the #1 overall pick. Kinda like how the Colts started playing lights-out in 2011 at seasons end when there was a 2 game cushion between them and the next team for Luck....
yeah, I noticed.

I hear unidentified weapons in the Aaron Hernandez case were hidden in the Jags endzone since nobody goes there.
10-01-2013, 03:05 PM
They had 44 passing yards going into the 4th

Quote:Why?? Are they somehow worldbeaters in your eyes? Without Locker, that team is very beatable. No, they aren't world-beaters. but they are a respectable team. Also, there's no significant drop-off from Locker to Fitzpatrick. With a competent offense and defense, the Tacks do not lose to this team.

Quote:Trying to figure out how "Mike & Mike" can be "singular" as worded in the opening post...If they play a full, complete game like the first quarter against the Colts, 3 wins I can see. If they continue to play like they have been accustomed to, 0 wins.
oh, and we're not worse than the 0-16 Lions. The Jags will not end up winless this season. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Jags win this upcoming week.
People are exaggerating how bad this current team really is. Its bad, but by seasons end, you'll see its no worse than your average run of the mill bad NFL team.
The 08 Lions had A LOT of talent, something we lack severely

I think we have the worst QB play in the league right now, and that's pretty much it.
Our defense isn't too hot, but to say we are the worst team in history ... that's just sensationalist bullcrap. I avoid ESPN talking heads, and most programs about the NFL.

Nevermind.
We are the worst in history.
Ahhh that feels better.

This is the only "worst" we have in the league. Worst QB play.

...those new ones are, without a doubt, the absolute worst looking helmets
in the ENTIRE history of professional football.

maybe so....but with a simple tweak - by making the black to gold a true "fading" rather than abrupt contrast as is currently, they go from being the worst of all time, to perhaps the best of all time.

This is by far the worst team ever right now.
If you compare the point differential through 4 games it's not even close.
This team is a joke and it's got me questioning the people who are running the ship.
It is caldwells/bradleys job to put a competitive team on the field and they are failing big time.

Quote:As said, people are way overreacting to how bad the Jags really are.....from the stupid, lazy media who just say hyperbolic things for ratings, to the sheep that take what the media say and believe it...I totally disagree with you.
The Jaguars are a bad team, yes.....but when the seasons over you will see that they aren't much different than any other run of the mill bad team over the years. Granted this still might be enough for the 1st overall pick, but by no means is that a lock.
As said, I won't be shocked if the 2013 Jags wind up with more wins than the 2012 Jags
This team has gotten destoryed at home twice, and destoryed every game aside from Oakland. You dont' have to hyperpole or lie the evidence is clear. This team flat out sucks and the worst one I have ever seen.
1 THE PLAYERS SUCK NO TALENT
2. THE PLAYCALLING SUCKS TERRIBLE CALLS
3. THE COACH IS ENDORSING A QB THAT MAYBE THE WORST OF ALL TIME
4. THERE IS NO HELP COMING TILL NEXT YEAR
YES we probably are the worst team ever assembled.
