He was a first round pick.  They gave him up for a 4th.  Regardless of Manning, that speaks volumes about what they thought of him.  Your right though, he good, real good.  I did hear a russian team offered him $1 million to play 2 games.  Don't think any canadian teams were interested.

Ahhh, you are one of those fans that can't separate college from the NFL.  Or his 103 yards passing per game, 47% completion, 75 QB rating,... he certainly can play QB.  He good, he real good...

Ahhh, but are you only looking at the name and not the situation.  Manning was let go because they drafted their future and Luck has turned out to be a really good QB.  Brees was let go because they had to choose between Rivers and Brees.  Brees also had a shoulder injury and was riskier prospect.

I think he could push our FB for a spot, maybe even our TE so yeah, I agree, he may be an upgrade at those positions with some work.
