The "small vocal minority" MalabarJag, myself and a few others tried to tell y'all this offseason that Caldwell had no intentions on making this team better. They were being cheap. They cut or did little to resign the players we did have, created more roster holes than necessary in the process and then claimed they were trying to get younger by selling you on some late round hope or UDFA. We have some of the most cap space available in the NFL! Look what we have to show for it.
It's all a plan and it will make the team better so long as the plan works and he gets his QB.

You still seem to not understand that spending even as much as half of our cap space would still result in a horrible team. We are waiting until next year when those additions will actually make a difference.

Please tell me why do you have to wait until next year to get better? What would be the difference between spending money to keep the talent you had vs spending money to replace the talent you lost a whole year later?

What talent did we have? Cox who would get hurt half the year, every year? Knighton who was incredibly inconsistent? A 32 year old Daryl Smith? No thanks.
Say we went out and spent on a top class LB and G, we would still not be better than 6-10. The QB is the main problem. They know Blaine is bad, theyre trying their best to make him improve but he would hold the team back no matter what. If there was a rookie QB worth taking at 2 im sure we would have seen more enforcement's brought in.

If we went 6-10, we pick somewhere around number 10. We miss out on the top 5 qb's and top DE.
They may have completely blown this thing up to try to get a top 3 pick, but I am not sure that they are that smart.

People do realize this was a 2-14 team last season and Caldwell purged many of the veteran players for young guys. We're worse in the short term, but we'll be better in the long run.

I've never bought into this idea, take a step back to take a leap forward. I guess we will just wait and see.
