If Peyton Manning were on the team, Jack Del Rio could be our Offensive Coordinator and we'd have success.

I get Gabbert sucks but seriously,we were down by 18 points at halftime. To Jedd Fisch, this means its time to give up. 2 run plays and a dump off later, the Colts call a timeout to stop the clock before the punt.

What I am getting at is... WE were the ones getting blown out, and while Jedd Fisch is quivering in fear, the Colts are still trying to.score.

Exactly, Fisch bags it in, bends over and wraps his hands around his ankles.  Hell even Mularkey would attempt to do something at the end of the 3rd.  We're down 31 points in the 4th and he's still running on 1st and screening on 2nd.

THIS ^^^
One thing I saw that concerned me. 1st and 10 and they run a pitch to the right for a loss of a yard maybe. So 2nd and 10-11 THEY RUN ANOTHER PITCH TO THE RIGHT, THE SAME EXACT PLAY.

Quote:Oh, and Gabbert's awful. .....The kid's got a cannon for an arm,
CUT him!

And maybe he can come back and win that thing where

you throw the ball into the box with the hole in it and win groceries.

The same Mularkey who benched GABBY.....the same one who thinks he's not an NFL caliber QB?

If he was still the coach, and Plaine was in the game, he'd call run- run- run too to end a half.
The issue lies within several different areas. We cannot continue to change coachong staff members year after year. That is one of our issues. Another is the play on the OL. The way that they're playing, no QB could be successful. The play calling is hindered by the forementioned but it's dismal at best. This must improve. The LB position needs to be revamped at all positions. They played awful today...

All Said, it's a joint effort...

NH3...
Also does anyone know if this is true, I can't find anything about how long Fisch's contract is:

Quote:It will depend on how the team performs down the stretch. Odds are we will lose every game and he won't be resigned.

It is important to note that he is on a one year contract.

I think he is one and done.

The idea of course being that if we are going to change OC's we do so before we change QB's so our new QB won't be changing OC's after a year.

Quote:Am I the only one who laughed in delightful frustration about 5 minutes into the 3rd quarter when Gabbert tossed a sweep to MoJo that was read like a cheap novel and resulted in loss of yards?  So what did Jedd Fisch do?  He fooled everyone by running the same play - but with Todman instead of MJD.  The man is brilliance personified.

The play calling was pretty bad today...

NH3...
Quote:Plz dont start this blaming the OC crap, its the QB

Yall blamed Dirk, look what he is doint with a real QB in ATL

I seen Gator fans say Dan Pease sucks, but look how much better the UF offense looks with Murphy starting, its the QB and always has been

I could runa decent offense in Atlanta with the QB and weapons they have. I like Koetter but he's middle of the road at best as far as OC's go.

As far as the OP: Will he be here? No. Should he be here? No. Regardless of the QB situation this team needs a better NFL offensive mind. Someone with more NFL offensive experience. Fisch is a good college coach but that doesn't always translate when you move up a level.
What exactly is Fisch suppose to do when he is working with a declining RB and an epically awful QB?

Try. That's all I ask. Running the ball on every single 2nd and 12 (when it's not working) is not trying, it's giving up.

Except he doesnt do that.

But if Fisch is the wrong OC, do you really want him here coaching Bridgewater, and then after a year he gets fired and Bridgewater has to deal with a new offense two years in a row?

The talent isn't there for him -- but it's important for the Jaguars to figure out if that's the only problem.  I don't think the team can say "Well... he had no talent to work with.  We'll give him another year to see what he does when he has a Quarterback."

Ummm try to win the game?

Whats the worst that could happen? We lose?

He is the wrong OC and a change should be made this offseason with the new QB coming in.
Draft Bridgewater then hire Bobby Petrino to be our OC. Throw co-eds at him if you have to

Different QB and different coordinator.
