Sorry didnt know that was a bad word. :-)
Had we not run the ball as much as we did, I imagine the score would have been much worse. Much faster three and outs, a defense that was even more worn out, and even more of a blowout. I am waiting until after week six to get an idea for who might be around next year, when we have had a few games with Blackmon in to see more. With the trade of Monroe, this will also give us a few games for Joeckel to get acclimated. The season seems pretty much a 16 game preseason for next year at this point. I don't have much of a problem with the coordinator right now.

Geez....LoL,  I'm surprised this thread is still going...Fisch is not the problem....He's hamstrung by having to play the worse starting QB in NFL history.

Gabs would've had people calling for the job of Bill Walsh,  Mike Holmgren,  Andy Reid...If he was playing for those coaches.

We can't keep changing OC's...   Fisch is the right choice,  and when we get a real QB...You'll see that.

Question --

we have nothing to lose.  So how is he hamstrung by the worst starting QB in the NFL?

Just because Gabbert can't do it, doesn't mean you have to call for a run on 1st and 2nd down.  Even Gabbert would make the play once in a while.   Not like the plays we are running are successful anyway.
Quote:He ran a pro style offense in college that put up a decent amount of points, but ok.  Imagine what could have been if Bridgewater didn't decommit and go to Louisville
Yeah against cupcake acc teams....
Gabs has to have the ball out of his hands in 2 - 2.5 seconds flat,  or he starts to get paranoid....He feels non-existent pressure even when he has time to throw the ball.   We don't know if Fisch has called routes, passes, to go down the field,  and the Check-down King dumps off the passes to the RB, or checks into a WR screen.

Our WR's has to be Wide-open for him to throw the ball down the field...3 OC's and 2 Head Coaches later...I'd say he's hamstrung.

I have no problem with changing an OC...I was one of the loudest proponents of getting rid of Bill Musgrave and Carl Smith....It's not warranted now...You can't truly analyze Fisch with what he's working with.
