Quote:"4. NCAA Basketball:

3 National Championships. 15 Final 4s. Michigan St. and Michigan don't have blue blood level history, but MSU is an elite program and Michigan could be on it's way back.

Noteable players- Magic Johnson, Mateen Cleeves, Glen Rice, Chris Webber

(Miami / Florida / Florida St. combine for 2 National Championships and 4 Final 4s.) Advantage Michigan"

15 Final 4s compared to 4? Yes, Michigan only has hockey.

And this has what exactly to do with giving a WR/RB a shot at QB?

The bottom line is that you've got to dig deep to find obscure titles in sports that matter north of the Mason - Dixon line to distract from the reality that your icon isn't going to get a shot at QB.  Understandable you'd want people paying attention to something else.
Which state has more Stanley Cups? Michigan, and it isn't close.

Which state has more World Series titles? Michigan.

Which state has more NCAA basketball National Championships? Michigan.

Which state has more NCAA football National Championships? Michigan.

Which state has more NCAA hockey National Championships? Michigan, and it isn't close.

Which state has more NBA Championships? Ok, finally, a PUSH.

The only main sport that Florida trumps Michigan in terms of championships is the NFL. That isn't hard to do, though, considering your competition is the Lions. Let's not pretend Florida's NFL history is impressive. Florida has THREE NFL teams with a combined THREE Super Bowl championships.

Hey, you asked what sports Michigan has a better history in and I gave you concrete numbers. Don't pretend like you didn't.

And why would I want Charles Woodson playing QB for the Jaguars? I'm content watching him finish off his Hall of Fame career as a defensive back.
Quote:I dont see why not give him a try.. whats the worst that can happen? We win..

Because it would send a message to the other 52 players on the roster that the coaching staff doesn't have a clue. You want to see a team of men quit? Just let them see the coach throw a known RB in as QB out of desperation.

People in Wisconsin are always jealous of how much better sports are in state the of Michigan. It makes me smile.

Since I've been a Wisconsin fan, it's been much better to be a Badger than a Wolverine. I like to live in the present, but that's just me.

And you're right! I better those Packers fans REALLY wish they rooted for the Lions.

Your icon in this context is a guy who has failed to impress through 3 regular season games with the Jaguars, but nice try.

While I'm planning on staying out of the overall discussion other than to say that both Michigan and Florida have a rich tradition of great sports,    you can add 4 NFL Championships for the Lions.    Unfortunately,  there hasn't been at least one in either of our lifetimes.    But they definitely count on any total list.

There is a reason I said all sports, bright one.

Wolverines >>>> Badgers

Tigers >>>> Brewers

Red Wings >>>> n/a

Pistons >>>> Bucks

Lions <<<< Packers

You can throw in the caveat that Wisconsin has been better since you have been a Badger's fan, because you have only been a Badger's fan for a few years, but that doesn't make your argument credible. That is simply poor journalism. Let's compare history, though.

Football:

Michigan- 42 conference titles, 11 national titles

Wisconsin- 14 conference titles, 0 national titles

Basketball

Michigan- 1 NCAA title, 5 Final Fours, 14 conference titles

Wisconsin- 1 NCAA Title, 2 Final Fours, 17 conference titles

Hockey

Michigan- 9 NCAA titles, 24, 14 conference titles

Wisconsin- 6 NCAA titles, 12 Frozen Fours, 3 conference titles

Michigan has been a lot better throughout history. If you want to say "since I've been a Badger fan" and throw out all accomplishments prior to what? 2008? Sure. But even then it is pretty even. Michigan has been better in Hockey and Basketball, Wisconsin has been better in football.

Once again, the Red Wings have more titles than all Wisconsin pro teams combined. Wisconsin sports can't compare to Michigan sports. Nice try, though.

Cool. A 5th round draft pick isn't impressing on a team with one of the worst offensive lines in the league. Big deal. Do you agree, now, that if you take the four big sports (Football, Basketball, Baseball, Hockey) Michigan's history > Florida's? You asked me to provide facts so I did. How about being a good sport (God forbid), and conceding?
What does state to state have to do with anything? But since bringing up college basketball. I believe Uconns Ladies team one of the best in last 20 years if not the best. And the mens most years up there too. Also Uconn first to have both men and woman Ncaa basketball championships same year. O know Dmx put on a private show after that great feat.

For the record I want Robinson to start cause the line can't block and gives best chance to be competitive in games.

I took a friendly jab at carly and then Florida fans who overrate their state have start talking trash.

Let's also not forget that the pro teams in Michigan are much older combined then Florida's teams.

Plus, football is all that matters, let's be honest.

And....I am still shocked that anyone in their right mind would want to play Robinson at QB.

Fans don't overrate Florida when it comes to sports. Fans, when talking about sports in Florida are talking about Football. Period. NCAA Hockey = NCAA Gymnastics/Softball/Water Polo etc.
Who else can we have back there that can move?

Perhaps to you! For sports fans the other sports are relevant too. It's fairly shallow to believe your preference is universal.

NHL Hockey? MLB?

Florida only cares about one sport yet has 4 professional teams in NHL / MLB?

Got it.

Right? Florida has 2 NBA teams, 2 NHL teams, and 2 MLB teams. I find it hard to believe that sports fans in Florida don't care about those sports.

It was sarcasm. It was tongue in cheek. Get over it.

I am a Jag, Gator, Pirate, Penguin, and Magic fan in the major sports.
I am a Jags fan. Enough time is spent away from my family. One sport is enough. Entertainment wise tna wrestling.
So to summarize, Michigan>>>>Florida>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Wisconsin>>>>>>>>>>>>Pond Scum>>>>>>>>>Ohio.
