I don't do Facebook...that's why I'm asking.

If you are set to private that means only people that you allow can see your page right?

Yes, I tend to try to keep things that can be used to identify me off the Internet as much as possible. I, unlike most people my age (shocker, I don't like to 'conform'), value my privacy. That's also why I don't use Facebook very frequently and don't have 3,000 friends on there.

I use it to keep in touch with family and friends outside the state. Many of whom don't use email anymore because of Facebook. I may be fairly private on the Internet, but I still value my friendships. Also, I didn't for awhile.

Haha, not quite. I refuse to post about what I'm eating tonight!

Also, all things aside, I don't want you (or even TMD) to think I was attacking you personally. I just disagree with what you're saying, and this is a topic that I take seriously. I am strongly against conformity because I believe that humans thrive when individuality is allowed and encouraged. We wouldn't have gotten to the position humanity is in without individuality. If we all operated on what is common and well-established we'd never get anywhere. I also, unlike TMD apparently, believe that students do have the ability and right to make decisions for themselves and that enforcing and encouraging conformity during the time in which humans are most impressionable is wrong. Rules based on stereotypes aren't beneficial to anyone.

Cool, glad someone can handle a debate without taking it personally Smile I've run into far too many people on far too many message boards (and similar things) that can't.

As a voluntary military I have no problems and proudly support the military. In the case of a draft, yes I'd have a very big problem with the military.
