I didn't like the picks either but Smoot has had 2 preseason games lol
Coughlin needs to go too, it's pretty obvious how much he influenced this draft. We need new blood, new ideas, and new concepts for the Bib Brigade to cry over, we're just recycling the tears at this point.
He's been done. The moment Coughlin was hired he was done. We can't have a clean, complete break from him this year but it's certainly going to be different after this year is over.
My hopes for the season are already dashed. This team is going to underperform once again.

Yup. I am being generous by saying five to six wins as well. But the schedule on paper is weak in my opinion. There's no reason this team shouldn't beat other teams like the New York Jets, the Cleveland Browns, the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams. All four of those teams are in tough situations QB and roster wise right now as well.

You really think Dave made the pick?  Really?  He might have picked the sweetener for Coughlin's coffee on draft day.  That's about the biggest decision he actually made.

Fans like you are a joke. You won't even let a new staff make it to its first regular season game before calling for their heads. I'm done with fans like you. Shut up and get lost.

and we are sick of fans like you allowing this team to suck for years before you finally OK a change
Agree, Smoot has looked decent
What if I told you, bringing back everyone but the HC from team that's won 11 games in 3 years, wouldnt actually solve anything?
yeah I hope he's done. He and Bortles can help each other move
Is what we are watching now a necessary evil to get the team where Tom wants it? Did Tom Coughlin have to let this happen?
The guy has drafted Blake Bortles and Dante Fowler with top five picks in the draft. He is clearly unfit for any personnel position on an NFL team.
Did anyone notice if Coughlin's face was red last night?
I don't think he's going anywhere yet...Coughlin is as much responsible for this roster as Caldwell...If Coughlin thought this team was junk when he signed on he would have started dismissing players right and left...Coughlin was on board with keeping Bortles, maybe because he knew there wasn't anyone available that was an upgrade, maybe not, but you can bet your [BLEEP] and both eyes that Coughlin watched every single minute of film on Bortles the Jaguars have...

Sure Caldwell has made mistakes, and as every GM does, he has had some misses...If only there was a crystal ball to look into to see the future of each player selected and know how he was going to turn out...

There have been coaches and GMs who have stated Caldwell has done a good job, why the results don't show it, this roster is much better than what Caldwell had when he assumed the job...

The million dollar question is why, with a roster seemingly loaded with talent, can we not play for [BLEEP]?

One thing is the roster turnover every year has been high, and seemingly more new players than players vested with the team for much time...

Another thing is the Gus connection...No discipline, no accountability, no tough practices, nothing but a smile and pat on the butt when they mess up and Gus saying, That's ok tiger, you'll get it next time...

The biggest thing I believe, is that we as fans are so tired of losing, especially after seeing other teams grab rookies and have winning season that we expect that too...

Most of us see us getting these seemingly great rookies and everyone expects the rookies to come in and out play seasoned vets and light the league on fire..We are the youngest team in the league, in the last few years we have had more rookies, UDFA, and second year players starting than any team in the league but more UDFA/second year players/rookies < seasoned vets...

The QB and OL is certainly holding us back, but that's not the only things...We lack consistency, and that is our biggest problem...I expect to see a new QB and heavy OL drafting in the next draft, and then we are in the same place as when Caldwell started, a bunch of young guys as starters, expecting them to out play the seasoned vets...

The last thing is, Coughlin was brought in to fine tune Caldwell...He's supposed to be guiding him and polishing his skills

It would still be sub-.500 because of the terrible O-line.   Wallbash
Why is everyone all over fowler today? He played well in both preseason games. Get over yourselves.

I hate it when you're right.

Playing better than you usually play doesn't automatically make it "well". Winston had time to build a camp fire and eat smores back there on every passing play. Lets not pretend for a second Fowler played "really well".
2 preseason games since he last played 8 months ago and he looks better. Sorry if I actually have eyes and can see. Some of you just want to gripe for the sake of griping.

You are entitled to your opinion, but stats and facts disagree with you unfortunately.
