And where would having Bradford have gotten us? Another forgettable season, no high draft picks with which to upgrade our team (because we would have traded them away to get him) and a mediocre QB who has already peaked. No thanks.
Kaep got benched for Blaine Gabbert. Which means shouldnt we have the most reason of any team out there to not sign Kaep?
He actually wasn't he was healing still but whatever.

Second time I've seen this as justification, but not what this says...

we drafted 4net this year and dont even know how that is going to go.  Maybe if we didn't have a first caldwell would have invested more than three picks in the offensive line in five years and we wouldnt have the issues we have now at Left guard.

I highly doubt Caldwell would have been that smart.
Also, because the edit button refuses to work, Bradford entered the league in 2010 and missed two seasons to injury.

Here's something to consider bridgewaters contract is up at the end of this year, if they pick bradford over Bridgewater do we pursue him in FA? Or hope there's a qb in the draft.
I can live with that. However, we should have had a new kicker brought in since the start of camp.

Agree, 110%.

Bridgewater is as brittle as many expected him to be coming into the league.  Rather than pursue him, how about drafting a QB in a draft that's expected to have plenty of options?
He had a freak accident in practice that as non-contact. He held up the two years before that just fine. And you say expected, but didn't that USC qb already say dont tank for me because he didn't plan on coming out Jn this draft. They talked about it a few months back on Nfl network in a segment about the jets tanking for a qb

Funny how this got ignored.
Some fans of this team love terrible players, Colin is hot garbage since he became a SJW and didn't focus on his craft. This is like some team with a bad QB wanting Bortles. Wrap your head around that.
Quote:That's how you see it. Bringing in a guy to be your starter at this point when you'd have to redesign the offense around him doesn't seem like a winning move to me, but if you want Coughlin to desperately flail around going change for changes sake I think you're going to be disappointed.

This. I read an article about Kaep last night that was talking about this very thing. He needs a specific offense built around him to be successful and we don't have it. If I can find it again I'll link it.
If this is the case, and Bortles loses his job, just start Allen. We know what Henne is. Average on his best days, terrible is the norm, catastrophic on his bad days. Henne is a backup QB, no question. He is not starter material over 16 games. If we want to lose bad enough to start Henne... There is no reason I can think of going against starting Allen. You will lose just as many, maybe 1 or 2 more games. Maybe, this is not likely, but maybe the kid can ball. Then by seasons end you have your QB going into 2018, and you can invest one of our top picks on a nice interior linemen we so desperately need.
Kap had 16 tds and 4 int's last year as a starter, and another 2 tds rushing... and a 91 QB rating... on the 49ERS!!!

that team was awful last year and he managed to put those numbers up in 11 starts. I'm sorry but he is better than what we have, anyone saying otherwise is crazy

Bortles had a 79 rating last year

He had a "freak accident" because his frame is rail thin, which was a big knock against him when he entered the draft. You can't have the frame of a basketball player and expect to stay healthy when you're going to be taking so many hits over the course of a season. Bridgewater desperately needs to add weight if he intends to have a significant NFL career. Whether his injury occured during contact or non-contact drills is insignificant.

From the NFL.com article cited above: "Kaepernick is a clearly regressing quarterback who has struggled not only with the rudimentary passing elements such as accuracy, anticipation and touch, but also with protections, field vision and decision making."

Colin's a good athlete, but a marginal qb.  He isn't worth looking at.  Turn off the constant drumbeat of ESPN and their leftist political agenda.  Based on football considerations, Kap is not going to help a team as a starter.
There is a very good chance this team won't score a touchdown until week 3.

are you failing to see that this was written in the 2015 season?

in 2016 Kap put up a 91 QB rating and 16 passing tds and 4 int's in 11 starts

get your facts strait plz, he absolutely would be an upgrade to the trash heap we have at QB right now
