Quote:Mass generalizing again huh?

Define "for the most part". This should be good.

Everywhere that I've seen on social media cites the same stories fantasies written on the websites that I mentioned (as well as others). The left just laps it up but can't cite a credible source for anything that they parrot.

Here's a great example. It was reported on (I think if I remember right) NBC and ABC that the Trump camp was seeking a Top Secret Clearance for his oldest 3 children. That is absolutely false. Where did the claim come from?

You are still generalizing. Just because you think things are a certain way doesn't mean they are.

Most conservatives get news conspiracies presented as facts from Breitbart/Infowars. As evidence of this I will provide zero evidence. That's what you just did. You could ask people rather man making a general statement even though what you might hear might not agree with your pre-conceived notion.

Quote:Butt hurt? No.

I'm willing to give Trump a chance but I disagree with some of the people he is hiring. Is it wrong to disagree?

It is if the reason you disagree with that person is based on something that isn't true.
Quote:A lot of you disregard what ex wives say so what's the point?

The point is to acknowledge the truth and follow the preponderance of the evidence.

This is why you don't take the word of estranged exes seeking leverage in divorce proceedings as gospel.

The director didn’t interpret the question as anti-Semitic. “I think the context was different from what I’ve read in the papers,” she said. “The school doesn’t celebrate holidays — we celebrate all holidays and no holidays, so we don’t have costumes at Halloween, but when a holiday comes up, we talk about it, and there are books in classrooms, and they put them away for the next holiday. So I thought he was referring to, How come you say you don’t celebrate holidays? There were all these books about Hanukkah.”

So from Piccard’s point of view, then, the Hannukah question was a signal of Bannon’s anti-Semitism, of his desire to not have his daughters in too Jewish a school environment. From the director’s point of view, it was an anodyne question about whether and to what extent the school was truly secular.

Since things seemingly need to be clearly spelled out here:

an·o·dyne

ˈanəˌdīn/

adjective

[*]

1.

not likely to provoke dissent or offense; inoffensive, often deliberately so.

Moral of the story:

Trust, but verify.

Words our last truly great President lived by.

Looks like that's what Bannon was doing. You should, too in seeking the truth.

I asked similar questions about religion in our preschool (which was sponsored by a church that was not my own,) and about books in DCPS elementary that covered a particular religion that's been in the news lately as well. It's a parent's responsibility to know. I wanted to know in advance what my children were being exposed to in case they had any questions so as parents we were prepared to discuss them, just as any responsible parent would. We could have opted out, we opted in.

You're reflecting your own self and how you acquire "knowledge." Seek deeper truth. Reject the worthless slander.

That's a lot of pretty words that mean nothing and have nothing to do with me giving an example to show what an absurd generalized statement looks like.

Don't kid yourself thinking right wing click-bait sites aren't getting their fair share of hits.

I'm not sure where it started, but it's been widely reported. Not all outlets confirm it, just mention the reports, and the Trump camp denies it. It's too preposterous for even Trump (can't believe I said that), unless he inquired about it in case he appoints one of his kids or son-in-law to a high level position in his administration.

Being unwilling to learn (particularly from mistakes) is worse than not knowing at all (honest ignorance.)

Intellectual dishonestly is one of today's most destructive forces. Which leads us to...

MSM back in post-election lying stride.

Hopefully, they'll fact check each other into actual honesty.

Kudos, USAToday for being brave enough to step up to the plate in the name of honest reporting.

I saw the article, and at first thought it was a Trump team spokesman denying the reports, but instead it was a "transition team official". I presume that to be an impartial source. To be fair, I saw only one report stating it as fact, the others just reporting the rumor. Still, what happened to confirming sources.

Oh...interwebs.
