His comp% adjusted for drops was like 66% for what it's worth.
Did none of you people watch the last two games last year? This is the same BB5 we saw once Pus Badley got the axe. He's fine in an offense built to.support him instead of asking him to do it all every week.
The most important things Blake showed me Sunday were improved accuracy and composure.

He suffered some inexcusable drops (I counted 4) but he was largely on target with the majority of his throws.
The composure was evident in the pocket. It was night and day different from his composure in the bucs pre-season game. Throwing the ball away instead of forcing it to the RB on that swing pass was a nice sign of his composure and better decision making also.

He wasn't perfect and he was mitigated by the game-plan but he performed more than adequately.

Best case scenario is a QB that Cough-Well likes falls to us in the first or second round of the 2018 draft and that player gets to sit behind Blake for a year.  If Blake continues to improve and the kid develops, then you have a good problem on your hands.

But, of course,  there are 15 games left for Blake to have a melt-down. I'll just be over here crossing my fingers and toes that it doesn't happen.

I agree about the QB thing. Time to stop wasting high picks taking chances on guys that aren't sure things. Follow the Raiders/cowboys/Seahawks/packers/Bengals/Redskins/Patriots examples and take guys when it makes sense whether that's the late first because of value or second or third or whatever round, build a team and get a good coach and if a QB is there you think presents value then take him. Stop setting the team back by reaching on guys that "need to develop."

Under fifth year option rules, every penny is only guaranteed if the player gets hurt, so we could cut him any time without being on the hook. But there is no reason to grant him a fifth season if we don't truly believe he can lead us to the playoffs by 2019, even if he is just a game manager. If he does not repeat his 2015 success (35 touchdowns and 4,428 yards passing) in 2018, we know he is not worth $18 million annually with a regular veteran contract.

Well said!
Just one thing to remember. Limiting Blake's passing attempts won't allow him, in all likelihood, to put up those kind of numbers.

Blake Bortles can still throw 35 touchdowns even with far fewer attempts this season. Time will tell how far over 3,000 yards he can get with a run-first offense.
With the way QB contracts are going, if Blake is just average, then $19 mil is about right.

Blake Bortles had the same teammates in those two games as he did earlier last season. The Week 16 game was a purrfect example of the impact a new head coach can have on the quarterback. It was the ultimate sign Gus Bradley held the team back. Now we did not see Bortles throw for 325 yards and three touchdowns Sunday, but a big part of that was he is not being asked to win games by himself. I will look for comparisons on YouTube, which apparently has a Week 16 full game video.
