Exactly.

We could try and sign Alex Smith or Jimmy G next offseason, but if we end up owing Bortles $19M there isn't enough cap space to be in the running.

I don't think people realize just how much money we've got tied up in the D-line.
Wondering how much Telvin and ARob will ask for??

Well ARob won't be getting nearly as much now that he tore his ACL. Telvin, as good as he is, should be affordable bc he's not a sack artist LB

I'm hoping we will clear Poz, Henne, Marcedes, and Parnell to save around 20 million and that it will go directly to Arob and Telvin. Then we can use the rest of the cap space to find a TE/RT/OG/backup QB/cheaper depth. 19 million on Blake just purely out of stubborness could crush that.

I think ARob will still get solid offers. I wouldn't be opposed to franchising him.

Is ARob a top 5 WR?
I know I quoted but this question is for the entire board that cares to post.

I know he will be coming off a torn ACL, and an off year before that. But this is FA and I have doubts he'll accept less than 13/14 million a year.
Arob will get paid. He's a legit number 1.

Lee, as much as some of you think he's a number 1, he's not a true number 1. He's an 800 yard guy and 3 TD. He will get his chance to prove me wrong though.

He is not a top 5 WR, but personally I can stomach paying him as such for one year if it meant getting him at a reasonable long term deal. If we were in cap trouble it might be a different story.
