I voted for better NFL officiating
Quote:Voted around 11.  As promised, I let my grandson cast the Presidential vote.  I won't say who he chose because that's his business to tell or not.  He'll be old enough in 2020 to do it himself.

I prevented a fender bender as 2 cars were backing out right towards each other and neither driver was looking back.  I yelled STOP! loud enough that everyone in the parking lot stopped LOL.  They stopped about a foot shy of hitting.  The cop by the door thanked me for saving him some paperwork.
If that is the way you treat your vote IMO you should not be allowed one. How ignorant.
Yeah, that is dumb.

I would just accept quickly made bad decisions
Quote:Voted Trump, even though Hillary will win in a landslide. On a side note, why do people waste their time voting for someone like Gary Johnson when there is no chance he'll even come close to winning? I just never understood that approach, it's essentially a wasted vote.

I disagree, Libertarians have made slow gains over the last decade. IF Johnson were to get 8% of the vote, as some as projected, it would be a major boost in credibility for third and 4th party canidates. The only reason they 'aren't viable' is because people are trapped in this only Rep vs. Dem or your vote doesnt count mindset.

As people see the proportion of 3rd and 4th party growing they realize, wait a tic, I really do have another option. Even if its just for the sake of making the mainstream parties realize they are doing something wrong, a 3rd party vote is worthwhile imo.

For what it's worth,  if Ron Paul from 2008 or 2012 was on the ballot as the Libertarian Candidate in the 2016 Presidential Election,  I believe he would get at least 20 % of the overall vote.   I'm a Conservative,  not a Liberarian,  but recognize the potential for a Libertarian Candidate that has the communication skills and message that appeals to many potential voters.

Ron was on in 2008, and I wish to high heaven he was there this year. He was jobed in the Repub primary in 2012. I would definately vote for him.

I'd hate to see how you react to someone who left their photo ID at home.

Yes....yes you would.

8pm ---

also, if the reporters state "too close to call" then it is close but if they state "too early to call"  then there is some distance between the candidates but they want to wait for certain to declare the winner.
Trump wanting to stop people voting in Nevada. Why would you want to stop people from having a vote?

You really think for a second he did not give his grandson pointers on who to pick? If my Grandpa had let me vote when I was 14 or 15 I would have voted straight repub back then because my families were big repub even tho I knew about nothing to do with politics.

Now if you want to argue what he did was illegal cause it is supposed to be his vote not his grandson, then I think you have a more interesting and valid topic to complain about.

It sure seems like Gary Johnson or Ron Paul's son Rand didn't capture the enthusiasm level of Ron Paul.   Like I mentioned in another thread,  the only Presidential Candidate in a long time that appeared to have a level of enthusiasm amongst supporters that Ron Paul had was Obama in 2008.

Not really complaining. Just stating my opinion that him letting his underage grandson make that choice is ignorant. He let a illegal vote become part of our national election. Very possibly that kids vote cancelled someone else that earned the right to cast it.

Actually I think Bernie supporters were simular in enthusiasm. Rand compromised on too much, part of Rons appeal was that he would go against the grain quite a bit if it didnt line up with his beliefs (which were decidedly pro American people imo). He is simular to Bernie in that regard, even tho they are different political philosophy, both voted against iraq, tried to hold the Reserve accountable etc. I feel sorry for Bernie, he was a better canidate than the Dems could ask for, but they got what they deserved by cheating him out.
So much voter fraud going on in Florida and Pennsylvania. Machine voting is being recorded switching votes from Trump to Hillary. If you still plan to vote, be sure to ask for a paper ballot.
