If Westbrook comes in and sparks the offense.  And plays like a number 1 receiver.  Who gets the Axe next year? And why?

Why does someone need to get the axe?

Greene who is on IR would not arob, hurns, or lee....

Because honestly. How many plays can be given a game to 4 really good receivers? Has any team ever had 4 impact receivers before?

As we are seeing right now, injuries happen. Cutting quality talent is misguided.

This is like that guy who called in to Jaguars Monday concerned about re-signing Ramsey.

Probably no one the way Caldwell has been finessing those IR designations for “injured” players.

We are probably going to lose lee to FA next year and tag Arob.

Think have to tag Smith rather than Robinson.

Tag smith and give arob a one year top ten WR prove it deal? I think smith personally is an easier contract to get done and we might even see it before the season is done

Why in the world would we tag ARob? He's was like a lost puppy last season and now he has a serious knee injury that most WR's take at least a year or two to come back from, full speed. I'd rather tag Telvin Smith and look to free agency to get another WR. I don't think there will be a ton of suitors for ARob in his current state.

I simply can't understand this fan base's obsession with wanting to dump players, just because somebody at said position shows a little bit of promise...

He's simply too valuable to lose. You don't find linebackers with that kind of speed and athleticism everyday. i'd much rather tag him than an inconsistent WR who will be coming off an ACL injury.

You're completely over looking his entire point that Smith is a WILL LB and he's not going to demand a high priced contract, period.

Robinson is a #1 type of WR, that even coming off of an injury, would demand a higher priced type of contract than a WILL LB ever would.

Agreed. We won't tag Smith, he'll sign a new deal with us that's considerably more affordable than the tag. Especially if the defense keeps this up, he'll want to stick around. 

They already said they were planning to tag ARob anyway. 

With Westbrook on a rookie deal, you cut someone like Greene and have your top 4 as ARob, Lee, Westbrook, Hurns. Hurns, is actually relatively cheap considering the cap, Westbrook is cheap. Lee won't break the bank, I'd extend him for a little more than Hurns makes, then you tag or prove it deal on ARob. We're fine with all 4 next year. I think 2019 is when a decision to move on from one might come.

Give Lee a little more than Hurns?  Lol. We won't be able to sign Lee to a contract like that, pay Smith, tag A Rob, and pay Bortles for his 5th year.  If Bortles plays decent the rest of the year I think we keep him for his 5th year and draft a QB in the 2nd round.  No way will Lee get a bigger contract than Hurns though, the Gene Smith days are over
