Does that guy have a personal grudge against us or Marrone?
I mean I get throwing in stats, we all know Bortles struggles and all but that article is just filled with (unmotivated in my opinion) hatred and just wants to make fun of Bortles and of the head coach.

Can't wait to read his Monday morning column.

So this guy pretty much thinks the Jets are going to roll the Jags.
He bashed Bortles and Marrone but never said anything about the defense that is going to absolutely abuse McCown. The Dolphins defense is not good.

This article reads like a cheerleader piece hoping to boost team spirit. He’s excited because they beat a Cutler led circus. Most intriguing is his gameplan thoughts. They sound pretty familiar, almost Raven like! His post game drivel has comedy potential.

I love it. Happy no one is taking this team serious. Makes for an even bigger blowout

Oh man the self destruction this guy is going to have, I really hope we do the Jets 99 divisional round style. drop a 60 bomb on them, I will be back to read this hack's Monday depression session. LOL

I wonder if he's from Brooklyn?

“He’s a good quarterback,” Todd Bowles said with a straight face on Wednesday. “Everybody has some bad days, but he’s playing well right now. And he’s carrying them. He throws great back-shoulder fades. He throws great timing routes. He’s got great accuracy. He’s got a strong arm. And he can run as well. So, he’s playing at a high level right now. We just got to try to slow him down.”
Does Todd Bowles even football?
lol
I mean Bortles played well... hell even GOOD on Sunday.
But a great back shoulder fade?
Great accuracy?
Strong arm?
All things that have been questioned over the years....
Whatever... the article is what most articles are these days. Lazy "journalism" with piss poor to no editing done.
It's all about them clicks...
And we gave em to them.... I almost thought I was reading from a site like BCC

Yeah, I can see the coordinator meetings now.
"Nate, Wash, Pete, remember what we did in London to Baltimore's vaunted defense? Remember how we shut their offense down in historic fashion? Yeah, let's go with more of that this week. Leave the brakes at home because we won't be slowing down in this one."

Hackett is going with play action on first down with the throw going to Fournette. Calling it.

What a homer read. Yesterday, I just wanted a win. Today I want another beat down.

It's one thing to point out the flaws of our team. It's another to completely insult the Jags. Hoping we win if only to put this clown down a peg or two.

Manish Mehta is literally the reason why Doug didn't get the Jets job, he wrote a couple of hit/character assasination pieces on Doug back in 2015, those articles reportedly scared Woody Johnson off Marrone. Here is one of the articles

Jets may win the game and this guy still sounds like a cheerleader for them other than a true journalist.

I expected better out of Manish. He's usually pretty objective when he's interviewed on SiriusXM NFL Network.
This game will be telling. I don't think a London game, even as good as it turned out to be, told us much about this team by itself. Coupled with how we won at Houston, however, it's not shocking Jags fans are excited. I just need to see it consistently. 1 really good game followed by 1 really bad game and then another really good game (in London where your opponent has never traveled to play) isn't consistent enough for me yet. I'm not concerned about winning this game this weekend convincingly, I'm just concerned about getting out of there with a win. Winning games in the NFL is hard enough to do, let alone blowing out your opponent. What I need to see is a win this weekend, however it comes, and then either a win or a close, tough, hard fought loss in Pittsburgh the following week and I think that will be a big enough sample for me to be confident of what we do and/or don't have in this team.

So I'm reading this and I'm like....
He must have wrote this before the season.
Nope.
He wrote it this morning.
So he is just going to disregard the 2-1 start? The 2 defensively overpowering games? The performance that BK5 put on in London?
Is he that much of a homer to only focus on his defense and our offense/HC, and forget about their offense and our defense?
Does he not realize that the pass rush is coming? Is he aware of the no fly zone?
Guess we'll have to ground those Jets. No fly zone is still in effect.
Somebody save this guy's link so we can see what Monday morning looks like.
