During Telvin Smith's second season, I forgot the name Russell Allen.
Good job front office. Well deserve. I was a bit worried by the talk in the preseason. We have a team built with guys that want and expect to win.

I was only worried we would have to tag Telvin Smith and lose someone else.
Lot of money and cap for a weakside LB. He deserves it and welcome the extension....just very expensive

Exactly how is $11 million per year expensive for him? As someone noted earlier, the highest-paid 4-3 OLB earns $12.5 million, and Jamie Collins is not my idea of an elite player.

Yup, it's actually a very fair price tag for Telvin. Makes him the 12th highest paid LB in the league, right around Burfict and Wagner's salaries.
happy that we signed him long term, was a no brainer

There aren't that many 4-3 WLBs in the NFL anymore. Jamie Collins is not one of them, BTW. He plays SAM for the browns and was a 3-4 OLB before that. Bad comparison.

Lavonte David was previously the highest paid weak side linebacker that I am aware of playing in a traditional 4-3 defense.

He is paid 10 million a year.

So, yes, 11 million dollars per year for Telvin to play WLB in a 4-3 defense is expensive.  He's probably worth it in the long run, but it makes him the highest paid at his position to my knowledge.

You really should learn to compose your posts without any condescending tone.  The fact that you are often condescending coupled with the fact that you frequently have no idea what you are talking about is THE reason why people give you such a hard time.

Work on cutting out the condescension please, as a favor to me and to yourself.
Someone else said Jamie Collins is the highest paid 4-3 OLB. I did not make that up.

I can try to be nicer, but that will not change anything. The damage is permanent.

There is definitely a joke in here... lol

Lets see how well Adams does with Hundley. He had 2 catches for 12 yards against the Saints......

Hundley is hot garbage. He's worse than Bortles. The guy has either thrown interceptions or fumbled 6 times in two games. He can't hit any of his receivers. Even Jordy Nelson. If Hundley can't get him the ball, how is he supposed to be successful? Adams successes/failures should not be attached to Hundley at all.

Do I need to say it again? Waiting until after the bye week will give you a slightly better picture of Brett Hundley's chemistry with the receivers and starting offensive line.
Hundley is butt cheeks at QB. I would quit the Jags if we went after him.

Tyson Alualu is a Steeler now, so I can't forget him.
I actually forgot who Russell Allen was until I recently googled him.

I was at his last game. Did you read about why he retired?
Telvin deserves every bit of this extension. Congrats to him.
Good to see the Jags actually locking up a good LB instead of releasing them to another team to thrive. Well deserved and I hope the fire continues to burn!

Usually this is correct unless that player can make game changing plays from that position. Telvin does. He can effective the game from that spot and that what makes him special. You re-sign game changers.
