See, this is why nobody likes you. Condescending, know-it-all tripe like this. Truth be told, your condescension would be easier to endure if you were right about things more often. But alas, just like here, you're not. Let me explain.

The poster I quoted clearly meant the second matchup this year, which is what I was referencing. I did not need to reiterate that in the third sentence of my post. In fact, that would have been redundant. So no, in no way will it be possible for me to see if we could have shut Watson down in our second meeting this season. Is that clear?

You are wrong about nobody liking me.

Well, no, I'm not. Exist in your make-believe world however you like, but I can assure it's not because of your disability. I'm stopping with that because I'll not be part of turning this thread into All About Jdub.
OK, people stay on topic about Watson.

Thank you.
Man Luck and Watson out for the year on the same day

AFC south is handed to us on a silver platter

Titans are overrated we should beat them next time

Nothing is handed to us. The Tacks are still in it no matter how overrated they are.
Yep, we need the rest of the league to beat the Tacks and we need to wallop them in Nashville. The road got easier for them too

Sucks for him, but I was getting worried about our 2nd matchup this year. This should take care of that.

It does suck for him, but Tennessee also benefits.

We need Tennessee to lose as much as possible.
This sucks man. Hope he gets better.

Dalvin Cook
Deshaun Watson

Hopefully no more

Are you only counting rookies?
Is the path for OROY for Fournette wide open as Hunt falls off?

I was actually looking forward to it. If he is indeed a great QB, and we are indeed a great defense, well that's just great stuff. I really wanted to see if we could shut him down.

The remaining schedule doesn’t offer many great QBs.  But, if the Jags keep winning they’ll end up getting their chance hopefully in the playoffs to show what they can do against a great QB.   Hopefully it’ll be Brady  Smile
So am I alone in thinking we've already seen the best that Watson had to offer?

His problem has always been he lacked accuracy and much like Bortles in 2015 he's made his name his year on thrown balls deep for his guys to out fight defenses for or used his legs for big gains or to throw the defense off.

If he comes back next year and they try to use this year's game plan I expect it will be a little less successful and he'll end up injured again. From here on out he'll probably have to do it from the pocket, and start looking more like 2016 and onwards Bortles, which is why the Jaguars passed on him in the first place.

This is a tricky question.

I don't think we have seen the best of Watson. He will have Hopkins and Fuller back next year. They will probably upgrade the Oline through the draft (no 1st rounder) and FA. I think their defense is going to get worse which means you're going to see Watson throw more.

No idea what's gonna happen really.

No you aren’t alone. I was telling my buddy out all Watson had is the deep comeback to Hopkins, the deep jump ball or run out the pocket. That’s about it. Not to take away him what he has done tho, I do want to give him credit for keeping the Texans in a lot of games they would have lost. But I just don’t think he was gonna be the long term answer for them once teams get some tape on him and really create a game plan to stop him. That was really a swing for the fence move and hopefully he saves O’Brien’s job.
Did anybody besides the media who are desperate for the next great QB really think DW could maintain this level of play? Did we not learn anything from the likes of Kaep and RG3?
LF back in the running for ROY

Conflicted cause I feel bad for him just as a man.

However; my jags will be headed to the playoffs and he might not be the same player anymore

My thoughts above
Guess it's time to take him behind the barn and put him down, Mr. Ed style..
Well at least they won the world series. Jeez they are snake bitten this year.
