Blake. Can’t. Throw.

What else do you want Hackett to do with a QB who can’t thrkw?

Sooo.... should we take this to the "lets anoint Dave Caldwell as the greatest GM in history thread"?
His late INT killed us.

I'm with you. We were in FG position

Who said that? Don’t remember anyone saying that.

He has assembled an elite defense and a bad QB. Don’t care if he stays or goes.

I am pretty sure I could assemble an elite defense with top 5 picks and unlimited free agency money. Caldwell should have been fired this past off-season for a multitude of reasons too long to name.

It was a bad pick but Bortles is the only reason the Jags are in the game. The Jags have TERRIBLE WRs and a TERRIBLE O line that Fournette can't even run behind.

Bortles first INT in 2.5 games.....Mariota threw 2 INTs today and his team still won because they actually played defense.

Let this sink in.....Jags gave up 27 points to Blaine Gabbert. Giving up 27 points and Fournette running for 20 yards isn't a formula for success.
Gabbert made 2 clutch throws to get his team into position for the game winning FG. Bortles on the other hand, throws a pick while his team is in FG range. Gabbert is more clutch than Bortles.
Bortles throwing that interception was very bad. He probably called an audible and threw the ball on the last drive too. Dude has rocks in his head.

Yeah because Bortles has Larry Fitzgerald out there taking away the other teams #1 corner. Meanwhile in reality, the NFL's leading WR in drops is guarded by their #1 corner. Bahahaha seems fair. Football is about matchups. Learn it.
spacecoast, there is nothing you can really say to defend Bortles here. The guys deep ball looks like something you would see in a commode after 5 cups of coffee. His complete lack of being able to audible in year 4 is highly disturbing as well. The guy is just bad. I want to like him. Trust me. I even defended the heart he shows in trying to pick up first downs, but man... he just isn't good.
Blake Bortles fourth quarter numbers on the season: 42-73, 419 yards, 1 TD, 4 INT, 55.6 rating, 5.7 Y/A, 1.3 TD%, 5.4 INT%

So clutch.....

You must be watching a different game. His deep ball has been on point about 5 games in a row and none of the WRs can make a play.

For the record, I think you are awesome.

Let me ask you a question genius......who's Bortles gonna go to down the stretch?! Slow Mercedes Lewis?! Stone hands Marquise Lee who cost us the Jets game?! There are ZERO weapons on this team. Zero. Dede may be good one day but he's not good now.

You have Patrick Peterson guarding Marquise Lee, the NFL leader in dropped passes. How do you expect the Jags to move the ball?!

As much as it pains me to say, you do have a point. I am not sure how Bortles would look even with weapons to be honest. He has shown to be highly inaccurate.

Wasn’t a matchup problem that caused the pick. It was Bortles being late on the throw which allowed Mathieu to make the play. Bortles is still making backbreaking mistakes at the worst possible times. “Elite” QB’s don’t make mistakes like that.

Why would you ban someone for supporting a guy they believe in? These servers are in America, right?

He looked like a 35 TD, 4500 yard QB without a good RB when we had a #1 WR. You don't think any QB in the NFL outside of Brady and Rodgers would struggle with Marquise Lee and Keelan Cole? Lol. Bortles has done well Game managing this year. The offense has zero weapons outside of Fournette. ZERO. HENCE Bortles having to run himself.

I wouldn't turn my head to an argument that says they haven't exactly put the best weapons around Bortles to succeed. I have said for years we needed to dump Lewis and get Bortles a safety blanket athletic TE. It would improve our offense 10 fold.
