Ran all over us for a whopping 79 yards. This defense CONSTANTLY bails out the offense. The scored a defensive TD.... again. Picked off Gabbert to help set up a potential game winning drive only to have Blake throw an interception.

Next time, wait a little bit before throwing your hissy fit tantrum.

You're right facing that Juggernaut Blaine Freaking Gabbert we should've expected a close game that would test our elite Defense.

Blaine Freaking Gabbert people!!!
You done? Did you let out your frustration?

AP ran all over the Jags? 79 yards?

The defense let up some bad plays. No one is denying that but they are constantly called upon to make plays while the offense does absolutely nothing. They’re not an all time great defense because the season isn’t over but if you think they’re mediocre then you’re a loser. It’s funny watching you and Stroud post 10x more after losses than wins.

Such cool guys.
Our defense is #1 in almost every category. To take that away from them is silly. This is the NFL. Crazy stuff happens.
I do think we need some of these injured guys to come back as soon as possible. Hurns, the two offensive linemen, and Telvin.

AP's yards were effective and positive and changed the flow of the game for their offense.
I don't think the pass rush really showed up today. They made the one splash play but Blaine had all day to throw on most downs. This was caused by an offense that was only 1/12 on third downs and only held the ball for 25 minutes. They took the lead and when you are playing from behind as a defense then its harder to pin your ears back.

That being said, first third down of the game we sent the house and Gabbert didn't get touched. That can't happen.
This is a copycat league. Plan on seeing all the remaining teams try to duplicate ARI's game-plan.

the Offense didn't give up 2 first downs with 16 seconds left to put them in FG range. The offense didn't let Gabbert send a 50+ missile down center field to take the lead. Again we all know the Offense is patch work, but this is supposed to be and I your words " the best defense in the NFL"

Tom Brady would take this team to the cleaners.

I agree the rush needs to be better.

BUT, Arians out-coached Marrone.  They used quick passes effectively a lot of the game and picked smart spots to throw down the field.

Hackett had a trash game-plan that did not put the players in the best position to win.

How?

Great question

Just too much soft zone today

You can not convince these people don't get off on watching the Jags lose. You could practically hear them start to salivate the moment Bortles threw that pick.

Hey may have meant the Tacks trolls. Jeff fisher the moron is back and posting immediately and I’m sure MariGOATa is on his way in as we speak

Austin Davis went 17-20, 155 yards, 2 td against the 2014 seahawks in a win

gabber was better but the chunk of his yards came on busted coverages that don't happen very often

[BLEEP] happens
we can hold onto our fragile belief this is an elite unit capable of carrying the worse offense we've probably fielded

This is a completely different statement. Yes the defense is elite. No it probably isn't elite enough to completely shoot the moon in the playoffs. No defense is. Even the 00 Ravens required Dilfer to make a clutch play here and there.

If your bar is absolute perfection then we have to go back to you having the wrong expectations.

This is the best defense in the NFL.  It still scored a TD today and made an INT to seal the game if the offense would have moved the ball.

Even great defenses don't play lights out (historically amazing performances) every single game.
We were bound to lose one. Did you honestly think we were going to run the table until week 17? We are banged up, playing on the road, and WR depth down to a rookie and an UDFA

New Orleans eventually went down today too.
Someone else getting "exposed" is Fornette, he has all but disappeared.

Okay? If you're trying to argue that this wasn't one of the defenses better games I completely agree. Easily bottom 3 this year.

Doesn't discount the rest of the great work it's done this year.

Brady takes every defense to the cleaners so not sure that means much in reality.

Well [BLEEP] then we really screwed up letting the guy who can drive the ball like that against the best Defense in the NFL walk and replacing him with Bortles!? Talk about a downgrade huh?

It's not just one bad game. Where was the pressure last week against the Browns?

Secondly the best unit we've had in years is a pretty freaking small bar to set.

You mean the browns game where
They had 5 sacks 2 of which were strip sacks?

How can he be effective when the 1st 2 downs of every series is a middle draw and the entire world knows it?

Careful now we don't want too much logic here.
I would rather of just stayed flat all game and lost by 30 instead of that horribly managed madness at the end.
