I guess if you call the deep ball that burned Church busted coverage his stats don't seem impressive and we can hold onto our fragile belief this is an elite unit capable of carrying the worse offense we've probably fielded since oh I don't know Blaine Gabbert was our leader?

considering they're 7-4, this elite unit has been capable of carrying this offense

Sometimes great units have bad games. Sometimes bad players have great games. If you want Gabbert back that's up to you.

This is a completely different statement. Yes the defense is elite. No it probably isn't elite enough to completely shoot the moon in the playoffs. No defense is. Even the 00 Ravens required Dilfer to make a clutch play here and there.

If your bar is absolute perfection then we have to go back to you having the wrong expectations.

No one's looking for perfection, I never said that. But if your going to call this an elite unit they don't have their worse games against 3rd string QB's. Watching that game, Arizona's defense looked a whole lot more like an elite unit than we did today.

This is more about the offense not being able to score points rather than the defense. They won’t stop everything every week. It’s okay. Were 7-4 and we have the colts next week. Hopefully they clean this stuff up and get a win

He's cleared to play he's not injured. If we're only going to evaluate his value when he is 100% feeling okie dookie we might be waiting a while.

Defense did. 

Offense played like expected and to me that’s the concern going forward.

It was very smart for the Cards coaching staff to have a game plan to attack the Jags on both sides of the ball. And it was not very smart for the Jags coaching staff who didn't adjust their game plan soon enough.

That was the point of drafting him specifically he was supposed to be able to run against 8 man fronts and power on. He's folding on first contact like a cheap chair right now.

They didn't play to their standards today but I think the gameplanning has something to do with it.

Wash at times isn't aggressive enough and I feel today was one of those days, that soft zone for the entire first half was terrible, it felt like Gus D all over again. Those 3 men rush late in the game were also a killer.

Field position didn't help, Ivory's fumble made them start from our 40 yards or so, the next punt return made them start again on our 35. Hard to defend when the offense keep giving back bad field position and doesn't sustain drives like it happened in the first half.

If Blaine Gabbert can dunk and dunk his way to 27 points, Brady would put up 45-50 points in the playoffs. Brady plays the same game Gabbert does but is 300x better

An RB still needs blocking to be even remotely effective. Defenders were swarming in the backfield all damn day.

it sucks to let gabber have a very good game, but even the best let scrubs have good games vs them

2000 Ravens gave up 36 points to a Jaguars team that went 7-9.

Dude's had "lingering injuries" since LSU we knew that when we drafted him. So you can't use the he's got a booboo excuse.
