Quote:JDR was famous for firing his coordinators until he ran out of them to fire and got [BAD WORD REMOVED] canned himself

I remember some posters claimed JDR handicapped his OCs by telling them what to call, so it made no difference who he hired.

Will there be enough people to make noise?
Good. At least something has changed. It may be minor, but it's something.

It's a waste of time.

The biggest problem remains. It is never a waste of time to take part of the problem away. Ever.
Quote:Is Bortles a coach killer now

Maybe that coach was a Bortles killer. I'm hoping that was the case.

I noticed when Buffalo fired Roman, Lynn saw to it that McCoy got more involved.

Sometimes internal coaching changes affect key players' role and approach.

Whatever.

Gus has cycled through so many coordinators with a horrendous record.

The real problem still remains.
Chopping the tail to get to the head.
With Bortles' regression, can't Hackett deserve some of that blame? Not sure... how did Hackett perform in Buffalo?

Time will tell how much changes with someone else calling the plays on Sundays,. Even if we see the same old crap, just knowing Gus Bradley tried to fix it is something to be happy about.
I wonder if the players input to Mr. Khan played a factor?

Marrone was good in Buffalo, so I am not sure you can go by Hackett's success up there to predict anything.

Remember Olson was in the room with them. Not a good time to throw him under the bus.

<p class="">Also, look for Hackett to help Bortles get ball out faster. Tape shows he has been hesitant, too slow to get ball out.

Quote:That's good. Where did he have that job?

In Buffalo under Marrone.

Maybe we'll finally line up in some I-formation with a real fullback. Chris Ivory thrives for smash mouth type of football. Not this finesse stuff.

Even better. Faster developing routes will help everyone.

The exact opposite of what we need. The biggest problem with Olson was play calling - especially too many run plays.

We need to sign a real fullback to start doing that.
