I know I wouldn't

Live??? Most of these hypocrites wouldn't even visit said countries on vacation.
Funny thing is people that were IN the room don't recall Trump saying that.

In a joint statement issued Friday afternoon by Sens. David Perdue, R-Georgia, and Tom Cotton, R-Arkansas, who were in the room, they claimed that they don’t recall Mr. Trump making the comment.

“President Trump brought everyone to the table this week and listened to both sides. But regrettably, it seems that not everyone is committed to negotiating in good faith,” they said. “In regards to Senator Durbin’s accusation, we do not recall the President saying these comments specifically but what he did call out was the imbalance in our current immigration system, which does not protect American workers and our national interest. We, along with the President, are committed to solving an issue many in Congress have failed to deliver on for decades.”

People love to throw the racist card out there.  At face value, his comment had nothing to do with race, but feel free to cling to Dick Durbin’s Account.

In adition, Durbin said the chain migration issue is racist because blacks feel their ancestors immigrated to the US in chains, and using the term chain migration is hurtful to them and ultimately racist.  It’s complete crap as nobody has ever said anything of the sort about chain migration, but if you’re embracing his account of what Trump said, then go all in.

If not racism, what is it to refer to a group of black countries as (fix the damn filter or I'm going to stop censoring myself)holes? Chain migration is beside the point. Trump referred to a number of black countries as (fix the filter)holes, and questioned why we need any more people from them in the United States.

To reiterate, the black countries mentioned are (fix the filter)holes, and the people living there are unwelcome in the United States. Your president's statement, not mine.

I don't see how that could possibly be defended as anything but racism.
when did we start designating countries as "Black Countries"? That in itself is racist...Ever been to Hati? It IS a [BLEEP] hole...Jamaica other than just a couple places is a [BLEEP] hole...Haitians really don't like to be called Black or African American either, they are Haitian not African American... Jamaicans don't like to be called Black or African American either...should we start calling Canada a "White Country"? I'm sure that would be called racist

Seriously, of all the [BLEEP] in the world from where people want to immigrate to the U.S., do you think it's a coincidence Trump mentioned Haiti and Africa? Do you really give him that much credit?

He didn't say anything that wasn't true...I am not against immigration from anywhere as long as it's done legal...I think he could have worded his remark better but there is no denying the remarks he made are correct which does not equal racism

That has nothing to do with what is going on in this thread.

It has everything to do with whether Trump was right or wrong.

That has absolutely everything to do with this thread. I’ve been to Haiti. It’s an absolute [BLEEP].

Good grief. No one better criticize anyone other than white people or else you’ll be labeled a racist!

It wasn’t Presidential but not racist. Is anyone calling Trump a racist actually been to these countries? They’re horrible.

Technically, Durbin claimed that Trump mentioned Haiti and Africa, but we don't know whether or not Durbin is lying or failed to leak the names of any non-black [BLEEP] Holes Trump may have named when he (Durbin) leaked his version of the meeting to the press. There was no recording of the meeting, so we only have to word of those who were there, some of whom apparently claim otherwise.

And by leaking the discussions at the meeting (true or not) to the press, Durbin betrayed the trust of those there, and made it infinitely harder for the Pubs and Dems to meet and discuss important policy in the future.

You’re gonna defend Trump no matter what he does.

He shouldn’t have used the term he used. It’s pretty simple. He’s trying to dictate who he wants coming to America. Funny how he chose Norway though.... wonder why?

Was it okay when Obama used a similar term to describe African countries?

This demand that presidents must adhere to some politically correct dictum is ridiculous.  There are a few reasons Trump is in the Oval Office. One of them is that he’s not paralyzed by political correctness.  He speaks like just about everyone. His lack of filter isn’t always a good thing, but it is a very different, and much needed change.

Referring to countries as “black countries” is racist.  So, I don’t see how your post could possibly be defended as anything but racism.

well of course it was OK when Obama used a similar term...You don't think Obama would be considered racist by the left would you?
Ladies and Gentlemen - your President of the United States: a racist and an idiot!

You may not care that he's a racist (many on here apparently don't) but you should care that he's an idiot.

And if you're not from Norway (he couldn't find a whiter group of people, could he) get out of the country, you're not welcome here.

So you're arguing that the racists and idiots ought to have someone represent them too?

Good job in lowering the bar.
I am shocked that Adam2012 decided to post in here but ignore the numerous threads about the stock market and corporations giving raises and bonus.

You are truly a human version of CNN.
So, is anyone who’s been to Haiti disagree with the idea that it’s a [BLEEP]?

He referred to several countries with large numbers of black people as [BLEEP], then referred to Norway, about as white as white gets, when talking about a country he wishes we'd get more people from.

Look, hoss, all I can do is turn on the light. If you choose to keep your eyes closed, that's gonna be on you.
so if he called norway a ____hole and libya or haiti a paradise would he be a white racist or a liar? Sometimes a place is a ____hole and over the course of time all the money we have sent that ____hole has done nothing to change it from being a ____hole. The point is does immigrating a bunch of people from a ___hole have a better effect on our country than if we instead allowed more highly skilled people with less of a reliance on the government from a country that has their ____ together?

Wrong. Libbies see race in everything and their TDS makes them cry like little [BLEEP]. Sad.

He should've just called them Wretched Refuse, the politically correct term for [BLEEP] country.

I know what the basis of your argument is about.

You think, because they’re predominantly black, that it’s racist to say what he said. That’s like saying it’s racist to say Chicago is a [BLEEP].

No one is answering this so I’ll ask you directly: is Haiti a [BLEEP]?

Wouldn't know. Never been there. I do know that it's a country that's suffered more than its fair share of natural disasters in the recent past, leaving its infrastructure decimated. It wasn't exactly a booming industrial power to begin with, but I'm pretty sure that if my house burned down and you said that you don't need me or anyone else from my [BLEEP] house on your lawn, I'd be annoyed. And so would lots of your other neighbors.
