At some point, the speculation becomes unhealthy. Has Khan ever lied to the fans and city before? If we were dealing with Robert Irsay, the late, hated owner of the Baltimore Colts, I'd understand the angst. Khan isn't Irsay. Or Spanos. Or Bud Adams. Or Art Modell.

The narrow-mindedness of humans is BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

I am repeating what the NFL has stated, not my wishes.  Ever hear of American football gaining popularity in Europe?  Did you know they prefer the NFL over the WLAF?  They know the difference between top tier and next level down.

So keep fooling yourself all you want.  Not my problem.  Keep in mind, I follow a team on much firmer ground.  We are not exporting games to stabilize revenue issues.

Honestly I wouldn't put Irsay in the same list as Spanos or Modell. Irsay spent years practically begging politicians to renovate or replace the Colts' stadium and all he got for his efforts was the Maryland legislature voting to seize the franchise through eminent domain. Ultimately they forced his hand.

I was a Baltimore Colts fan in the 1970's. Irsay was trying to move the team almost as soon as he swapped franchises with Rosenbloom in 1972. I don't fault him for wanting a new stadium--old Memorial Stadium was simply not built for football. However, he was hostile toward the city and state from day one.  Neither trusted him to keep his word, and that's why they tried to seize the franchise. I agree that was a stupid move, however, Irsay wasn't blameless.

Khan has never operated that way.

I guess it's bigotry to note someone's name or origin but not when you do the same thing.

And since you are so big on playing the history game, you can bug off Mr. Bandwagon. I was Alabama's Biggest Patriots Fan in 1972 so the opinion of an '86er is laughable to me.

Really not trying to troll. I dont want to see the jags move to london either. Just speaking the obvious. If a coach buys a house in another city everyone assumes.. if an owner buys a stadium and builds a practice facility in another city well thats just to help us here in jax...

Your an idiot. Even in its darkest years the Jags have turned a profit.

It should read "YOU'RE an idiot"

What you said would be like saying I am from Pakistan.  When I've spent every breath living in the United States.  What you said is referenced to as "xenophobia".

And bandwagon?  Did you notice I said I live in New England?  We had season tickets during their worst season in 91.  Boy, you ain't too bright.  I got into them before watching the Bears stomp them in Super Bowl XX.  Some bandwagon that was.  I was the only Patriots fan in Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Do you feel special that you're a Patriots fan?  In Alabama?  (Who cares?)  I don't place my self worth on freaking sports franchises.  I mentioned being a Patriots fan because I think the Jaguars would move to the AFC East.  Goofball.

Exactly, who cares? Yet you tried to lord it over me that you jumped on in 86. You're still doing it, as if nobody in your county followed the local NFL team but you. If you need to invent imaginary sports team status to feel special, fine, but it doesn't fly with me.

And "phobia" means "fear of". I'm too old to fear anyone but my wife. I certainly do not fear some guy half a world away, no matter how much he tries to normalize terrorism. Sadiq is London's problem.

I stated "86" to the other fans, not you.  I don't know you.  Why the heck would I care to lord over you?  First paragraph was addressed to you.  Second paragraph to the everyone else.

Good, I hope you don't live in fear.  Being an American, it is unreal how much imaginary BS is said, even about imaginary enemies.  When China and Russia gain the upper hand, religious freedom will be different.

Speaking of imaginary sports status, were you a fan of the 1974 WFL Birmingham Americans?  Used to own one of their championship rings, one of the best players, too.  But no one really cares these days for the WFL other than fans of the obscure leagues.  The star in the Ams logo was made of cubic zirconia.  I kinda regret selling that ring but decided best to focus on pre-50s NFL (or college) gold.  Ironically.  (lol)
For everyone that sweating about Mr. Khan placing a bid to purchase Wembley Stadium, remember that his professional soccer team plays in that stadium. Also ponder the fact that the Jaguars would be guaranteed to keep the cash benefits of continually playing one home game, possibly an away game in Wembley Stadium. In order to move the Jaguars perminately would be unlikely due to the cost of travel throughout the season.

IJS.

I find it hilarious you managed to spell Craven Cottage right but misspelled Wembley.
This is what they call their stadium? I'll never understand the Brits.

If people weren't so wrapped up in conspiracy theories maybe they'd take some time to listen to what SK is actually saying. Look, if he wanted to move the team what would it buy him to constantly reaffirm that he's committed to Jacksonville, to developing Jacksonville, and investing in Jacksonville? He could just as easily do none of the above and move the team sooner rather than later if that was his intention.

It's about a lousy owner making a giant, up-staging cannon ball splash on a day reserved to celebrate the arrival of future NFL stars. The NFL brand is so wrapped up in business catchphrases and appearing to look smart it can't help, but to reveal it has no idea whatsoever what NFL football is all about.

Obviously, Khan believes putting an NFL franchise in Jacksonville is a big mistake. He's acting like a twelve year old little girl with emotional disabilities peeling paint off the living room walls. He can't move the Jaguars so he slips his fingernails into the sheet rock and peels back a little more and a little more.

Khan can buy the stadium the Jaguars are playing in right now and have revenue stream coming out of his nostrils. Instead he howls any chance he gets about Jacksonville and tries to impress people with big boats and stuff. What we end up with is lots and lots of alienated citizens of Jacksonville and a harbor full of one yacht that sticks out like a U.S.N. destroyer in a bath tub.

Khan plays average NFL fans perfectly. His antics are NOT about revenue streams, they're about a will-nilly owner pleading his case for moving the Jaguars out of Jacksonville. He knows the timing and he knows if he can continue to send out the same message - Jacksonville is too small of a market for an NFL team - he will gain all the sympathy he needs when he decides to pack up and haul away to London full-time.

What hurts is when NFL fans see the mixed messages coming from Jacksonville. They know that Jacksonville can't compete with Los Angeles or London, England. A few decry our city as unworthy of a franchise, but most have sense of this finely tuned plague being inflicted upon our city for pretty much a decade and want to help.

In the end, everything about Shad Khan is dysfunctional. All the former NFL order and excellence of having arrived at being rewarded an NFL franchise means next to nothing. It's not the NFL schedule, it's whatever Shad Khan wants to do to make more money. It's not the Jacksonville Jaguars at all. Shad Khan himself dubbed the 30th NFL franchise - The London Jaguars based in Jacksonville. Can't deny it. Can't back away from it.

The stadium area has become a obtuse white eyesore. Khan is forcing a development upon us which nobody wants.

The Jacksonville Jaguars jumped the shark many years ago when Weaver sold the team to Anglo-phile, Shad Khan. Most faced the reality of Khan's moving plans back then and now decline to support the team in the interim prior to the NFL exiting town.

Hey people still watch Happy Days and Ed Sullivan episodes on television oblivious to the fact that social engineering knows no limits nor has a reasonable ending.

By the time Khan is done folks here will be so dispirited and morale so low that the Jaguars will leave without anybody even noticing they've finally done it.

For the life of me, I can't imagine what kind of filter you're looking through to see the thing's your seeing. SK has said over and over that his commitment is to Jacksonville, he is investing millions which may turn into billions to transform Jacksonville. He is emotional and forthright in his defense of our city. But people still see a grand conspiracy. You have to live in a very strange world to see Khan as both stupid AND nefarious. But then there are people who will still swear to you that the earth is flat and any evidence to the contrary is a conspiracy by the illuminati to deceive the elect.

The Jags may move one day but it will be because of circumstances beyond Khan's control not because of some evil plan hatched in the late 90s by a group of NFL owners who had no idea what the NFL of 2018 would even look like.
Khan laid out a great case for eventually moving.
He has said Jacksonville is a small market team in a derogatory manner, never speaks of the passion of a small market, it's all about revenue. He talks up London, calling it a "great city", he said London is CRUCIAL TO THE SUSTAINABILITY of the franchise. Do you know of any other NFL team owner who has said another city is crucial to his team's survival? That would be no. That statement right there seals the deal. London is CRUCIAL to the sustainability of the Jaguars. It is pathetic.

In the end he made an excellent case for getting in on the London action before the NFL relocates there. So it will happen, it's a matter of time.
The ironic and sad part is that as long as he ends every statement by stating "this will make the Jacksonville Jaguars stronger", people put on blinders.
Khan could be loading the moving vans, and as long as he waved goodbye and shouts out the window that "this will make the Jacksonville Jaguars stronger!",
a lot of folks will buy his message.
It's called denial.

This is hard to argue with. A move doesnt happen overnight. Well except the baltimore colts.
But the groundwork has been laid .
Buying Wembley doesn't mean anything about the future of the Jaguars. Khan is an extremely rich man who loves sports. He's an international business man who operates all over the world. He's stated over and over again that he is committed to Jacksonville, and he's poured millions of dollars into this city.

I kind of feel like there are fans of other teams pretending to be Jaguars fans in this thread so they can stir the pot. Because anyone who knows anything about the situation here would know the Jags aren't going anywhere.
Not today Marty, but 10 years from now will be a different story. The groundwork is being carefully laid.

Man, think of all the panicking you can do in that time! Ten solid years of knee-jerk reactions and jumping to conclusions, you must be so happy right now!
Whatever Shahid Khan spent or spends in Jacksonville can be recuperated in the snap of a finger with a franchise move to London.
