There's tons of DL coming out next year in the draft. We're guaranteed to cut one if not two.
I look for Dareus to be let go due to the numbers game. Possibly Jackson too.
I was called a nutter for thinking Jackson could go next year. I think if we have another good year, maybe we can get Campbell and Jackson to restructure and only have to cut dareus. With a higher cap + 1 of our 3 big money linemen gone and 2 restructured deals, we would be able to keep Ramsey, YN, and Jack. Another thing to consider is Lee and Moncrief can also be trimmed fat. If Westbrook, Cole, and Chark ball out the need to resign Moncrief is 0 and Lee could be trade material. This is all hypothetical what ifs, and a little farfetched but oh well lol. That's my take.

Dexter Lawrence would be the perfect replacement for Dareus

I think we'll probably have to pass on Fowler this year. And we might have to let Malik Jackson go. Will that be enough?
When I see that order in one draft, it does remind me of how an NFL dynasty is built.

Isn't Jackson one of the cheaper of the 3? (Campbell, Jackson, Dareus)
And isn't he younger?
Also they all play different spots right? Big end, 3T and 5T
I just think Campbell is the most likely, big cap hit and his replacement was drafted.
Dareus has the biggest cap hit and he could go too, but only if they feel Abry can step back in and be effective or if they have an eye on a beast NT/5T coming out of the draft next year.
As per the 3T... do we have anyone that is really ready to step in there full time? IDK...

Here are their cap numbers for 2019...
- Malik Jackson - $13 mil base salary + $2 mil SB hit = $15 mil cap hit ... $4 mil dead money if released results in $11 mil savings
- Calais Campbell - $12 mil base salary + $1.5 mil SB hit + $1 mil option bonus = $14.5 mil cap hit ... $3 mil dead money if released prior to option bonus being paid, or $4 mil dead money if released later ... savings is $11.5 mil if released early
- Marcel Dareus - $8,335,000 base salary + $2 mil roster bonus + $250,000 workout bonus = $10,585,000 cap hit ... zero dead money if released prior to roster bonus being paid, or $2.25 mil dead money if released later ... savings is $10.6 mil if released early
It's going to have to be more players released because remember the Jags are already 20-30M in the red for 2019 without attributing the salary cap increase. So just to get in the clear, it's those players. Then to resign, going to need more space. This defense will look significantly different next season, the time is now to win.

Ah quite the opposite.

They have like 18 mil to rollover as well.
Chruch and Gip are options for cutting as well to save some $.
Restructuring is possible for some guys too.
Lee could be cut after 1 year into his deal for some savings as well I think.
Also when time to do Ramsey deal, maybe AJ is let go and a guy like Patmon has developed (or we draft another DB high)
