Weak.

It's 50/50. I think most fans are reasonable. You never want the game to be decided by the officiating. There was plenty of bad calls and missed calls in that game. And it wasn't JUST us fans griping about it. You had Boomer calling out the BS with the officiating during the half-time show on CBS. Max and Stephen went back and forth the day after about it as well on ESPN.

There was also another guy that went back and looked at their last four to six games and the officiating was extremely lopsided in New England's favor throughout that stretch. They screwed over HOU, BUF, PIT & NY with shady calls or TD's that were taken either away from them or clearly dropped TD's that were awarded to them.

But. BUT. With all that said.

3rd & 18. We had the nastiest front four in the NFL at that time. We had the highest graded secondary in the NFL at that time. An elite defense makes a stand there. They either end that [BLEEP] with a sack, deflection or turnover. And that's ultimately what matters. Enough with the what if's and what should have been's. It was 3rd and 18. Get off the field. Run out the clock. Punch your ticket to the Superbowl.

But their oline held big time and there was no call on that 3rd and 18
I hope after Sunday Tom starts thinking about retirement.

Retirement Tom has a good ring to it.
I think we keep it close but we just don’t have an elite QB to put us over a team like the Pats.

I think it’ll be something like 20- 27 Pats.
Just seen we are wearing teal and white.

Oh this is over!

Joe Flacco and Eli Manning says hi so I guess Blake don't have to be Elite after all to beat the Patriots

^^^ true statement.

Blake may not be what we all want, but is what we sort of need for this team to be built the way it has been built. We cant afford a elite qb's contract and keep all the talent we have on D. Not to mention he is durable and has pretty thick skin which comes in handy when dealing with some of the criticism that we get from media throwing [BLEEP] at us, often because we are a small market young team.
Those stanking cheatriots walked off their plane today into some of the sickest heat that Jax is capable of providing. They were mentally defeated the second it hit them. Tomorrow will be more of the same. They will wilt like flowers in the desert.

It's a matter of IF the defense shows up and stays disciplined and IF the offense makes some plays.  If those two things happen I could see a win by more than 2 touchdowns for the Jaguars.  On the other hand IF either of those two pieces "tries" too hard and makes stupid mistakes/penalties, I could see this being a close game with the possibility of the Jaguars losing.

Either way, I thought the Jaguars were the better team in the AFCC game last season and I still think that they are the better team this season.

No one beats the Patriots big. If they start getting thumped the Refs move in to save them. I am so tired of every time that team wins there's a 'yea but'. I mean seriously, on the NFLs website they have the power rankings. When they talk about the Texans they mention how the booth didn't review the Gronk catch in time so the Pats got a play off. I know that's just as much on the Texans, but come on had that been the Jags the play would be being reviewed before it ever even happened.

I just hope we beat the living hell out of the Patriots, make it so no matter how much help the refs give them they still won't be able to overcome.

gronk catch was  a  catch according to the new rules

those  losses are called rare exceptions.... pats 20-17..... i see some ppl saying the jags will score 27 or more points...  if the pats give up 27+ points to this jags team, something is horribly wrong with n.e defense...  14 of those points better be from the jags defense
24-20 Jags
Still pull it off despite the injuries
Patriots: 31
Jaguars: 17

I think we continue the tradition of 'Odd week Jags" from early last year.
(09-13-2018, 03:31 PM)JagFan81 Wrote: [ -> ]So we have finally got to Pats week. Now this game won't erase January, I think a W here will be huge from a psychological standpoint. I've seen many teams beat themselves against them and plenty of teams who fall a score behind and their heads drop. It won't erase January but I think It will be huge to prove we can beat them and the future, any AFC playoff route has New England in it.

Pressure, constant pressure on Brady. Canon is doubtful and he's one of their better guards. Brady will look for the weak link and just go for matchup so Hayden and Jacobs need to step up. I think moving Ramsey to matchup with Beckham hasn't really been looked at and I wonder how much of an effect that had with some of the secondary play. I wouldn't have gone follow Gronk as it allows him to get moved around too much but they have no Edelman, Amendola, Cooks, Lewis. They just signed Coleman but he won't learn the playbook in a weak. Hogan and Gronk seem Brady's main weapons, we can limit that.

O, damn, someone just make a play. WR's need a big week, that looks a pretty open position so time someone claimed spots. O line need to step up but I think they will, week 1 in the road, it will click.

At the 'Bank, national game, I think this is the game we put the league and fans on notice.

This team is for real

Jags 28
Pats 13

I don't want to be that guy but called it!

Ok, we got 31, I'll learn for next time!

I saw nothing last week that convinced me Doug Marrone won't try to make the AFC Championship Game plan work again. Hes gonna do it, it is who he is. Pats 24 Jags 20

Changing my mind ( or rather ignoring logic). Jags over Pats. 24-20

Bahaha, logic just went on vacation for 2018 cause we going to the SB baby!
Thank God, I was wrong!

BOO YAH

Gave NE a bit too much credit but that’s Tommy B and Belichick, can’t ever rule em out

Good team win
I was wrong. Never been happier with it. Having dismantled the Patriots, I finally feel like we have jumped a huge hurtle in becoming a more complete team.
I was way off, and glad I was.
Oh good, I got the scores mixed up.

(Jinx successful!)
Where's the trolls at? Plenty of crow for you Pats fans and Jaguar anti-fans.....
