If a free agent was dominant at their position before the arrived here, don't you have to look at coaches (or lack-thereof)? Either your coaches are trash, which I think they are OR your scheme doesn't fit the strengths of the FA you signed. Either way, its a blunder on the FO and/or coaching.

Great.
You made the claim they didn't try to improve. Which isn't true. You're just making up a new claim now.

then TC, the hard-nosed guy who was supposed to get us going was part of the team that decided it was a smart move to not only re-sign a bust QB who throws more pick 6's than he has GW drives, but to NOT EVEN ATTEMPT to improve the most important position in Football. WE didn't get Jimmy G (WE SHOULD HAVE), we didn't go after Teddy B (WE SHOULD HAVE), we didn't care to move up and make a play on any of the QBs in this draft and all 1st rounders look better than Bortles ALREADY!!
this all leads me to think they don't have a clue on what they are doing with our QB, which is the most important position...therefore.......

Blake was bad in year 1 and he's playing terribly in year 5...the entire league knows he's trash....but our front office and coaching staff still wanna play him? WHY?
Why would we NOT be trying out every QB possible? Blake is NOT IT! WE KNOW THIS! I'm sure we all know the definition of insanity right? That's Doug and Dave continuing to think Blake is gonna be anything else than an INT throwing, poor decision making, inaccurate, NON GAME WINNING DRIVE QB!!! It baffles me that we have people who are paid millions that still fail to realize how horrible he is and do nothing about
He did not pull BB5 for his poor perfromance. He stated that if he could he would have benched all 11. but he wanted to make a statement to the entire team that they all suck and can all be replaced. And the one position that gets that statement across to everyone is benching the QB. Now that is what the coach said. You can either beleive that or believe the many many of so called experts that tell you he did it cause the offensive troubles are purely on BB5.
Bortles’ contract in 2019 contains offsets on up to $6.5 million. It’s quite possible that they move on after this season, but I’d say it would probably be for a rookie rather than a more expensive free agent vet based on the fact that it would still be a decent amount of dead cap to eat even with the offset and a rookie wouldn’t cost much.
I disagreed with Bortles’ extension at the time, but I can at least see what they were thinking in doing it rather than letting him play on the option this year. He had just come off of a somewhat impressive December and January and helped get them within minutes of the super bowl. It wasn’t enough of a trend in his performance for me to want to extend him but I can see they were thinking that if that trend did happen to continue, they’d have Bortles locked up at a reasonable amount for the next 3 years during their Super Bowl window and they’d be able to keep most if not all of their other ascending pieces. They also wrote the contract in a team friendly manner that allows them to part ways as soon as next season.
They made a calculated bet and hedged it with the offset language and their bet appears to have been wrong. Front offices make mistakes sometimes, even good ones. Some credit should be given, however, for how the contract was written though. The front office isn’t inept and Doug Marrone still has a winning record here and 3-4 is the 2nd best start this franchise has had since 2010. There’s a lot of football left to be played and we’re still very much in control of our own destiny. Teams that run the ball well and play good defense tend to fare well in the post season. We’re getting Hyde this week and Fournette back soon after that. We’re clearly going to attempt to impose our will on the ground going forward. Let’s see what happens over the next 4 or 5 games and revisit where we are then before proclaiming it needs to be burned to the ground.

They should have just let him play out the option. IF he balled out then you hook him up with a top 5 QB contract. If he didn't (he isn't) then you let him go with no hit to the cap.
Even with the offsets, we'll still have "dead cap" money for a season or two.
Which isn't terrible... as long as we cut some corners and save some dollars elsewhere (likely on the DL)

3-4 one game out of first in the division.
We finally have a healthy back that can get us back to a power run style and make the play action viable.
Grind this game out and find a way to win and start gaining momentum for the return of Fournette.

Get one. Get this one and get to 4-4.
Then you get Colts twice, Bills and Dolphins in the 2nd half of the season. All very winnable games. Then try and win a couple out of tacks, Texans, Steelers and Skins.
Gotta get this one on Sunday thought to start it up.

If I didn't think you were actually stupid enough to believe this inane drivel ^ I'd explain to you the definition of an "opinion." But it clearly wouldn't do any good.
Nonetheless - if you ever get your blood pressure down enough to take a few deep breaths consecutively, you should probably educate yourself on the difference between a fact and an opinion. Clearly, you're confused on this matter.

Is there no inbetween? I see the under performance but I also see the injuries. I hate the black and white stance people take.
There is hope man. This is the NFL. How people don't realize the EBB and Flow after years of watching the NFL is crazy.
Three games ago everything was fine. After a rash of injuries and a couple of poor team performances it's time to blow it up. Holy cow.

I agree about him playing on the option. If he’s cut before next season, though, the dead cap would only be for next year. It would be somewhere between $10 million and $16.5 million depending on how much Bortles is signed for elsewhere. There would be no dead cap in 2020. A rookie playing on a rookie deal
would seem to be the smart plan going forward especially when factoring in Bortles’ dead money. Given the fact that keeping him next year puts his cap hit at $21 million, I’d say it’s almost a certainty that he either restructures or more likely is cut outright. Unless he balls out going forward, which doesn’t seem likely.

I have a feeling Blake has a few bounce back games and they keep #5 in 2019, draft a rookie, and either start the rookie mid-season 2019 or right away in 2020 when Blake is gone.

Heal up on the bye, and come out flying. We just need something to get us going.
And if Brock can get some sweet revenge tonight then all the better.

The bolded part is the problem - there is no evidence of some people's support of the team. They appear to only be negative nancies here to offload their misery on everyone. I'm fine with people being upset over how the year has gone. It sucks that we were so close last year, and appear to be a completely different franchise this year. I can call Doug, Dave, Shad, Blake, Oesher, whoever, any name in the book, that won't help the team, nor will it make the season any more or less enjoyable for you. It won't foster discussion on this board. If you just want to scream into the void, type out every word you want to utter, and then cancel the post.
I've done it a number of times myself. Saying that, I really I am probably just screaming into my own void on this matter.
