the ball boy spit on the ball before each posession

and his tummy was hurting all game long

and the team didnt give him his favorite game day breakfast

the wind was blowing too much dude, no one could throw out there

it was a tad too chilly for his liking on top of it all

how can u expect our QB to get a single first down in last 5 drives with all that?

STOP BLAMING BLAKE, HES A GOOD GUY!  HES A VERY VERY NICE GENTLEMAN!

At this point, I truly don't care, but we better get back a boatload in return. Any such trade should also directly help us land a QB either in the draft or a good veteran via a trade. Not some other team's FA castoff.

Whoa.

Chill.

So emotional.
Really stupid mistake. Like our last crappy year when he was a rookie Ramsey was a lone bright spot. I'm pretty sure he's a bit hobbled this year playing through some things and is still our best defensive player this year. Even though the defense as a whole has regressed for the most part.
Two firsts aren't even enough unless maybe you know the order by then and they're both early firsts this year.
If we trade Ramsey then Caldwell and Coughlin need to be fired.

Correct.

Maybe they realize now that in order for this team to dig it's head out of it's [BLEEP] they need to invest more on the offensive side of the football and get more creative. The defense has enough pieces for now. But they know they can't keep everybody.

If they had to cut their losses with anybody on defense. Why not Ramsey? He seems like another headcase just like Fowler. They want quiet leaders like Smith, Jack, Campbell and Ngakoue. It's understandable.

Also. Bouye is just as good. If not better.

Diva or not, this would be the worst move your franchise could make.  I don’t like Ramsey but he is a special player and probably as good as it gets at CB in 2018.
He ran his mouth again after the game today. Smh
If you needed anymore proof the trade rumor came from Jalen's team:

Yeah.

He's just getting started early on his holdout threats and money schemes.
Kinda' what you'd expect from a player/personality combo like him.

I wouldn't put too much stock in it at this point.  Jags currently still have the leverage in that situation.
I doubt that he and his agent are really trying to move him or plan to holdout in his third year.
We'll see. A figure a commitment from the team to extend him some time next season is enough to make everybody happy.

Either that - or he holds out in July...

Its very NBA style. Means you get this to be the big story of the Jags offseason and that kinda pressure (especially as the best and biggest personality on the team) is impossible to ignore for the organisation.

I actually think they are very serious about getting this mega deal done this offseason and will do what they must to get him it, whether its here or elsewhere. Jags have leverage but they lost a portion of it with how bad this season went.

Ramseys our most important player,  the coaching staff knows that, the team knows it and so do all the fans. If he doesn't get a deal this summer he can make life miserable for the organisation by holding out and refusing to play, in a year where the coaching staff really can't afford any distractions or to be without him.

Your QB should be your most important player. The brass needs to put this franchise in the position to make that statement true.

He should be, but until we have one its Ramsey, and even when/if we do get one, Ramsey will be the 2nd most important.
I don't care who we trade, but if we made such a deal, I would demand a good starting CB in return (ala Casey Hayward or Shaquille Griffen or Kendall Fuller. Someone of that caliber), plus a first rounder and a 3rd rounder.

Hell no.

Declining player.

Besides, the Jags are just gonna pay Ramsey. The only question is when they do it.

Regarding the part in bold.  How exactly can he "hold out"?  He is still under contract.  I get that he's probably positioning himself for a new contract, but I don't get how he could possibly "hold out" when he is currently under contract.

Hold out in this scenario meaning withdrawing his services from the team until he gets a deal or they reach an agreement.

I understand the whole "holding out" thing, but I think it's unlikely.  He would be holding out while he is still under his rookie contract.  The team is not obligated to sign him to a new contract until after next season.  "Holding out" would mean that he would be breaching his current contract.  It's not like he's a free agent or has been tagged.  His "holding out" would/could result in both him not getting paid as well as getting fined.  I would like to think that no player including him would be that stupid.

Unless I'm missing something, he really has no leverage until after next season.  Even then the team could tag him and still retain the rights to him.
