Thanks for your confirmation of everything that is the Bortles error. So you a big football fan? Not being overly snarky just saying you registered a new forum user account to let us know we have a QB/Offense problem that is obvious to even the first time football watcher.
Good luck the rest of the year.

I don't get it. They just needed a couple of first downs to win.
How in the hell they couldn't manufacture a designed QB rollout run option, a quick dump to a TE, or something vaguely creative enough to make the defense have to think, it's just beyond me.
Very disappointed with the play calling down stretch in the fourth quarter in this one. They just needed to control clock for ~2 more minutes and they couldn't convert. The penalties in the prior drive were daggers as well.
This
When you have a QB who is under duress by time his 3rd step in his drop back hits the ground. As a OC you start to call plays to slow down the rush or protect the QB. Ie Roll outs screens and bootlegs. We have plays to utilize short passes like the WR screen to dede, it didnt always work but it got 4-6 yards at times. The OC has to make adjustments and this team has shown time and time again they have no clue how to adjust. They just keep throwing the same junk out there. Our main problem is not injuries or QB play or line play or lack of talent. Our problem is Situational Game Calling on both Off. and Def. and by the HC. Remeber this HC quit when he was asked to move on from a running philosophy to a more up to date passing philosophy.
In the last 11 plays in the game we went consevative because they did not believe in the passing game?? of those 11 plays only we hat a net of -7 yards. Of all those plays only 1 play went for more then 1 yard and that was a passing play for 7 yards. So the only positive play in the last 11 was a pass yet they felt the need to run it up the middle 3 times to win the game. The OC needs to be fired today.
I think Bortles knew Hackett lost them the game. I heard somewhere (maybe on the radio) that on that 3rd down where it was obvious Blake shoulda kept it, I guess he was told to hand it off.
Everyone acts like Blake is so stupid.. He knows that the coaches don't trust him. He is prolly pissed about that at all times. Theres more to it than the QB sucks. He isn't great but he also aint stupid.
Before this game. Do you know who the leading rusher on the team was?
Blake Bortels
How many designed runs did he get 0
OC Is the dumbest person on the team

This......Hackett needs to go.

I love when people add Period to the end of things like that is emphatically making a point or something.
Over and over, we cannot get key yards to get key 1st downs, and this has proven itself over and over this year, and we'd rather go with a likely failure rather than a chance at a slant or RB out route?
Ridiculous.

I still can't believe it.

Right.
So how about using what the QB can do which is rolling out and running in the option?
But naw, its Bortles fault. he was calling all of those plays where LF successfully ran into the back of our Oline.

I’m glad you’re finally coming aboard the misery train along with the rest of us. We appreciate your company. It’s going to be a long, sad, depressing ride to the offseason.
It falls on Hackett and ultimately Marrone. Either you trust Blake to make a play for you or you don’t. If you don’t then why do you continue to trot him out there? There isn’t any middle ground to choose from.

If you were at the game it was pretty obvious on that play. He handed it off to Fournette and literally started jogging off the field in the middle of the play, didn't look back once.

That's what it was. Someone called in to the radio and said they saw the same thing. That's crazy.
THATS COMPLETELY COACHING!!! NOTHING ELSE!! AND ABSOLUTELY SAD.

That's the 1st thing that came to mind: They really don't have much a choice but to play all run when Bortles is the QB.

That is some scared coaching right there. Frankly, I don't think Bortles has any confidence in himself, given how little the team seems to have in him. Go back to the AFCCG. That was so very winnable, if only the coaches didn't completely turn turtle.

You have to wonder how many more chances Bortles is going to get if the coach doesn't have faith in him with the game on the line.
Bortles didn't have any time, ZERO. Couldnt comprehend Hackett didn't call QB keeper inn the 4th. It was wide open.
You can't settle for FGs in this league. Could possibly been up 24-0 or more instead of 16-0.
This one's on the coaching staff.

They learned nothing from AFCCG loss. This one is on Hackett. Run. Run. Run. Punt. Even the pass plays were non-effective because protection was often breaking down OR it wasn't a quick hitting pass play rather than a slow developing one. It's about the play-calling, especially in the second half. Hello, McFly!

No just love how you guys play defense. it is what I am used to from Steelers of a few years ago. was curious of what you guys thought of game. I think we all agree. you guys should have won the game but didn't adjust. not to many times the Steelers can say we outcoached someone.
