In the early years the Jags were off to a good start with their first rounders with guys like Tony Boselli, Kevin Hardy, Fred Taylor, Donovan Darius. It got a little hit-and-miss after that. From 2008 on though things really hit the skids. It is not just that the picks were bad, they are almost all high picks.

2008      8            Derrick Harvey  Defensive end   Florida  [
2009      8            Eugene Monroe              Offensive tackle              Virginia
2010      10          Tyson Alualu     Defensive tackle              California
2011      10          Blaine Gabbert  Quarterback      Missouri
2012      5            Justin Blackmon              Wide receiver    Oklahoma State
2013      2            Luke Joeckel      Offensive tackle              Texas A&M
2014      3            Blake Bortles     Quarterback      UCF
2015      3            Dante Fowler Jr.              Defensive end   Florida
2016      5            Jalen Ramsey † Cornerback        Florida State
2017      4            Leonard Fournette         Running Back    LSU
2018      29          Taven Bryan      Defensive tackle              Florida

Ramsey was pretty good but seems to be falling off the rails a bit. Fournette had a decent rookie season but injuries have slowed him down of late (who saw that coming  Cool  ) and 3.8 YPC is nothing special. Bryan is still new.

Rest of those guys are pretty bad.

If I was picked first round by the Jags I would 100% pull an Eli Manning.
UCF qb @ 3 overall... yikes. only a florida team
What was the thought process behind this post? Doesn't appear too thought out. Who on this list are you willing to brag about? I see Lewan as the lone one. Looks pretty Jaguar-isk.

2008 Chris Johnson
2009 Kenny Britt
2010 Derrick Morgan
2011 Jake Locker
2012 Kendall Wright
2013 Chance Warmack
2014 Taylor Lewan
2015 Marcus Mariota
2016 Jack Conklin
2017 Corey Davis
2017 Adoree' Jackson
2018 Rashaan Evans
I guess we can add first rd picks to the list of things that go to Jacksonville to die. We’ll put it right behind class, integrity, hope, and self-respect.

2008 Chris Johnson --- amazing
2009 Kenny Britt  --- had a long career, pretty good
2010 Derrick Morgan - still plays for the team, good pick
2011 Jake Locker --- trash
2012 Kendall Wright - was okay in tennessee, sucked after he left
2013 Chance Warmack --- trash
2014 Taylor Lewan - pro bowl
2015 Marcus Mariota --- stud
2016 Jack Conklin --- all pro
2017 Corey Davis  --- stud
2017 Adoree' Jackson --- stud
2018 Rashaan Evans --- stud

see above, 3 maybe 4 bad ones(if you include britt) compared to jags which are... all bad until you hit 2015... and the jury is still out on them. LF lookin like a bust and taven who?

I get the team bias, but come on. You lost me at Mariota-stud. On LF, you may want to take a look at his stats. Do you think Henry is a bust? And Bryan is a rookie on a stacked defense. Come on man!
Chris Johnson was trash after his 2nd season in the league though he had one legendary season.

A whole lot better than the guys you had
Jaguars tried to buy a championship but the owner was so dumb he forgot the most important piece: A Quarterback... lol

That and the fact buying a championship rarely works

6 seasons in a row with 1k yards, every year he was in tennessee

MJD only had three 1,000 yard seasons...

For once I agree.  CJ2k was a flash in the pan. His career was over before you blinked your eyes.

Fred Taylor would be in the HOF with the exact same stats if he were wearing a different Jersey.

My most hated Titan was Air Mcnair. He use to kill us.

There is more than just Lewan on that list, Johnson was good, Britt has had good years, as has Morgan. Heck, even Locker looked good for a bit. Those are mostly decent players. The Tacks draft looks much better during the Gene Smiff years and even the early Caldwell. I will take our more recent drafts tho.

You are out of your dang mind. Eddie George couldn't even find the right side of 4 ypc. And even with his 'lack of injury' still has a thousand less yards on 300+ more carries than 'fragile fred.'

Not even close to the same league.
Big mistake calling Khan dumb.....he's anything but.

Give me the more reliable player you can hand it off to 30 times a game without breaking down. A lot of Eddie’s carries got cut short.... by the endzone.

Amazing how he has only 2 more rushing TDs on 300 more carries and was considered a 'power back.' Seemed like Fred could find the endzone from a lot further away.
