So it’s not like he’s getting paid as the 3rd best LB. It just happens to be 3rd highest as of now.

That bears repeating.   Top 3 paid MLB for right now, but in a couple of years, 8th or 10th.

Contracts are always getting bigger and bigger.
Happy for Jack, hes been a solid addition in the LB department and is going to be huge for us this season.

It's funny thinking back to when he was drafted. His knee was ruined, he would only play 2 years at most, it couldn't be fixed.

So happy to see him keep proving people wrong. Now sign Jalen and Yannick.
Pay Jack this year to free up not having to pay him next year and be able to pay yan and ramsey next year

This is the best idea I've ever seen on this forum.  Banana
I love Jack but he is noiwhere near top 5 LB.

He is been good not great, he has the potential though.
Love it, once all the dead money and crap falls off they'll lock up Jalen and Yan. Add Allen and Dareus (provided he takes a paycut) core of the Defense for the next 4 years.

Glad to have jack locked up though.

They offered Yan top 4 money as well and a shorter term. It takes two to tango. Sometimes guys get bad agent advice.
Yan may live to regret turning down that contract.  I don't believe they will offer him more money next year and if Alan plays as he did against the dolphins, he may find his leverage to get the contract he wants all but gone.
Time value of money, he should already regret not signing it. If for no other reason than injury protection.
Not looking like money well spent through first half of game 1

Just got paid and can't control his emotions to get ejected from the game. Wow

Paying linebackers big money is always a mistake, and the jags have done it twice now with Telvin and Jack. Save the big bucks for the premium positions.
Woops
Yikes, don't blame him for being emotional but not a good look.
Marrone lost this team the moment they extended Bortles. This has been an issue for years and Fowler was the scapegoat. Are they gonna trade Jack too and look the other way?
Personally, I think Jack should lose his captaincy. His behavior was juvenile. Who punches a guy wearing helmet? Great way to break your hand. The tantrum leaving the field was embarrassing.

Agreed.

The Browns' LT got tossed for kicking a guy in the head/helmet today.
His apology seemed sincere and will give him the benefit of doubt.
