Good stop there by Jack

You know a linebacker is bad when just making the tackle is so worthy of note.

baby steps
Jack started the day looking lost again but has settled into a good rhythm.
You guys are harsh! So brutal. Hes going to stay with it and get it figured out.
Here's the thing about Jack: I have no doubt he could be a very effective player in the right position in the right defensive scheme... something that takes advantage of his athleticism and coverage ability in a flexible way that plays to his strengths and minimizes his weaknesses.

Here's what the Jags have tried to do with Jack: Put him at MLB and expect him to be Ray Lewis. He is not the dominating hitter that is gonna make RBs scared to see what's waiting for them on the other side of the line.

We need a dominant physical MLB, and we need to use Jack creatively in ways that get the best out of him.
We’re paying him more than Luke Kuechly right?

God, it’s 9:30 am and my eyes just keep resting on that bottle of bourbon.

This ^ was October 6th.

Now confirmed.

Isn't that an indictment of Todd Wash just as much as it is Caldwell and Coughlin?

They have to go by recommendations of coaches on players, right?

The front office takes coaching evaluations into consideration but also does their own evaluations independently.

If you're indicting Wash, it would be for not insisting Jack is an outside LB.
Frankly, both the FO and coaches should have been painfully aware of this long before the contract.
I blame the FO for the contract and the coaches for the misuse.

Myles Jack is too soft to be a MLB and is always out of position.

NH3...

I said this exact same thing. During the off season. Before the extension . . .

Was advocating for Devin White at ILB out of LSU leading up to the draft. Thankfully Tampa Bay took that option off the table for us and Mike Mayock outsmarted himself and allowed Josh Allen to slip right on down to us.

Somewhat off topic. But how does Green Bay do things up there? Some of the old heads on here would probably know. Doesn't the city own the franchise collectively somehow and they have a certain set of people that they deem on their own side worthy of making football decisions?

We should petition for jobs down there. I am not joking. I think there's probably at least 15 - 20 of us on here that could pull this [BLEEP] off with the right resources at our disposal. All I need is a 12 pack of Old Rasputin, some Doritos and a few scouting websites to make these decisions easy for us.

Pretty similar to how my co-op operates. You elect a Board and a President from your members, and they run the day to day.

Wish that were the case here in Jacksonville sometimes.

Maybe just having veto power would be enough haha.

Well they said Jack was out with knee problems. Is this the issue that dropped his draft stock? If so why did we over pay?

Defense did better against the run with him on the bench today

Don Payne is a real MLB.
That contract extension alone gives me pause about Caldwell's future. With that said, this Mickey Mouse set up of the front office makes it hard to access who is really responsible for the failures.
