I'm numb to loosing. It's the standard. I have accepted it, but can someone send TC, the Caldwell to a winning franchise so they can learn on how it's done. (Sarcasm)

I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not lol

It was a bit a caustic but I was basically calling out the tendency for wanting the next fad.

No one is saying that our front office is the best, but everyone is pushing for these hot young coordinators and as we can see it seems the league figures schemes out; it’s the players that need to be tried and true, regardless of whether we run a run first offense or the latest air attack.

That being said, the game is geared towards passing more and we drafted a bruising running back 4th overall. That may be the final nail in the coffin should we fail to have a winning season again.
Im beginning to think Doug is JDR.2 with the " we are gonna run the ball even if they stack the box" and that crappy " bend dont break" all the way down the field until they score soft zone [BLEEP] where defenders play 10 yards off the receivers...
Going to go ahead and throw it out there but if they flounder around this year and end up 6 - 10 or 7 - 9 they should be in the market for a new coach. If it means maybe promoting Flip? Go for it.

But I also wouldn't mind a few other offensive minded coaches here working with Minshew if he gets better as this season progresses. I like Mike McCarthy and Jay Gruden already at the moment.

McCarthy and Minshew? Yes.

Gruden? No thanks.

What's wrong with Gruden?

He was 6-2 last year with a dumpster fire of a team/organization until Alex Smith got hurt. They went 7-9 with an awful roster. 7-9 the year before that with again... a terrible roster and no QB. 8-7-1 the year before that. 9-7 the year before that.

He has done all this while being a part of one of the worst run franchises in all of sports at the moment and leading the league in guys on IR.

Are you serious?

You can make bad excuses for pretty much every HC out there. He's had very decent rosters and yet his record is 35W 49L 1 playoff loss.

I'm not saying he's an amazing coach but I think he's pretty good. Given the state of the Redskins franchise the past 20 years, it's a miracle he won 35 games with them.

Thanks. Not to mention it was Daniel Snyder forcing him to coach up Haskins.

Gruden isn't that bad. This offense needs a shot in the arm. That team was riddled with injuries off and on.

no no keep Marrone. Give him 1 more year
I cant believe I'm typing this but I'm coming round to seeing if Del Rio would want to be a DC again.

He had that Denver D playing really well before Wade Phillip's came in and took them to the SB.

It's just not working with Wash.

That or throw Dom Capers ancient [BLEEP] out there instead.
The Saints only put up 13. Not the week to cry about the Defensive performance.

I'm not going to get into a whole thing but the Saints O was poor yesterday. They weren't on their A game. Kamara looked injured, Bridgewater missed a lot of throws yesterday, especially on 3rd down. It was more them not converting than us stopping.

We have to have at least 2 deep passes on first and second down each quarter to stand a chance of winning. Doug needs to realize that the difference between winning and losing revolves around our implementation of the deep passing game early and often. My prediction is we lose because this coaching staff doesn’t get it, doesn’t believe, or trust Minshew.

We will need at least 30 points against Sean Payton. To hear Doug say it, Sean taught him everything he knows. I don’t see this student taking down his master without the Minshew magic. Doug needs to let fly, needs to believe! We can’t wait till the opponent has seven guys in the back of the end zone to unleash the beast that is Minshew. We have to come out of the gate with the ball like a bat out of hell. This is our fourth quarter, we are behind, and if we don’t win today, season is over!!

A 2-4 team that ought to have been 4-2, had it not been for the lack of fain in how we finished the Texans and started in Denver with Minshew forced to crawl on the first play! Coaching staff has put on a doubt clinic! Time to believe! Oh ye of little faith

Why can’t this FO get our premier player on defense paid like a premier player rather than a chump this season? This organization is in desperate need of an attitude adjustment. There’s no reason why this team ought not be reeling other than the heads of this dragon, dragging [BLEEP] on their obligations to believe, and show that faith in their stars who ought to be lighting it up rather than going under the radar of a losing scheme. This leadership is acting as a dampener to the engine of this team, holding it back from being all it can be. They need to wake up!

Gonna start referring to these posts as Mad Doggin' it.

We've heard the argument already. At this point, you're not changing anyone's minds.

It was a one-score game. Both teams played well. In the end, it didn't work out. A few years back, they'd have beaten us by 3 scores. Enjoy competitive, close football.

If the game or the team makes you this upset, find something else that brings you joy, and have fun! (I'm starting to wonder if visiting this board is going to be the thing I abandon due to lack of fun...)
Back up the Brinks truck...for Lincoln Riley.

Some on here are either too "college minded" or too "Madden NFL" minded for that.

I'm not there yet. Team has a real shot to be 4-4 with Houston at "Home" in London. We have a good chance to be 5-4. Foles would have a chance to get back in the lineup with a winning record and a chance to push for the division title or wildcard spot.

Hopefully we trade Jalen here in the next couple weeks and bring in a TE for Foles to help this offense out, and we can somehow get to 9 wins and possibly get in as a 6th seed or win our division.

The AFC is really weak this year outside of NE and KC. I don't think the Bills will sustain their success (Josh Allen is really bad) and the rest of the AFC is pretty meh this year. I like our chances in the AFC this year.
