If we lose this game, the season truly is over. I'm expecting a HUGE day from our D-Line. The Cincy O-Line is simply a bunch of cardboard cutouts. If we can't get at least 5 sacks in this game, it will be a letdown. I'd pressure Dalton all day, because when he is pressured, he is terrible and with A.J. Green and John Ross out, they only have one good receiver in Tyler Boyd. If we double him, we could pitch a shutout. Make them beat us with their under performing run game, behind that pathetic O-Line. They still have some good pieces on their defense though, so we're gonna have to find a way to score some points. Geno Atkins is having a down year, but he has the ability to terrorize our OG's. The same goes for DE Carlos Dunlap if he plays. With the way Jawaan Taylor has been playing, Dunlap could have a big day, if he is able to get passed his knee injury. Hopefully, he stays benched at least for this week. William Jackson is also one of the better young CB's in the NFL, so I look for minimal production from whatever WR he covers.

Ah, I love this thread. Brings back childhood memories. So my brother actually worked at LaRosas too and we lived in a town with one. Love all things LaRosas, Skyline and Graeter's ice cream!

Skyline chili sucks, IMO. It has cinnamon in it and is served on spaghetti with a pile of cheese on top. Yuk.
The only good thing about Cincinnati is a very good thing- the town of Covington, Kentucky across the river and an easy walk to the Bengals stadium. There are bars there that make their own German sausage, there's German restaurants, tons of beer (lots of German beer as you may have guessed) and the greatest bourbon bar in the world.
The guy who owns that bar has probably every legal bourbon made in the state in there and probably dozens of non-legal ones too. It's a great little town. Oh, it also has a revolving restaurant on top of a Radisson (I think) which gives a phenomenal view of Cincinnati, the Ohio River and the KY countryside.
On topic: I pretty much agree.

Did you grow up eating Skyline? If not that might not be why you don't like it. But I introduced my wife to it who didn't grow up there like I did and she loves it. It's an acquired taste but I love it.
And yep, the revolving one is the Radisson. Or use to be at least when I grew up there.

LaRosa's has great pizza. I eat LaRosa's about once every two weeks or so.

It's an acquired taste, but if you live in the Cincy area and you are raised on it, it really grows on you. If you like Ribs, Montgomery Inn is another place to try. When I worked on one of the gambling boats on the river, the owner of Montgomery Inn would be a regular patron. He was a super nice, old guy. They have excellent ribs.

I agree with ya, Brett, not growing up with it makes a difference. We've all had chili made every which way but this I found to be, well, different. I grew up eating steamed clams which many people find objectionable (I feel this way about soft-shelled crab sandwiches).

Had it once during a Superbowl game. My youngest brother's girlfriend's mom made it.
It's actually not bad at all. It's different but still really good to try out with some scoops.
Canadian Poutine is also dope.

If Minshew has another bad game, can't wait to hear the hot takes in here talking about the Bengals defense is an 'elite unit'

If I cared enough I'd dig through his terrible trolly posts and find all of his hot takes.
I'm sure he thinks average Nick was going to be some savior of this team.
Nick Foles is Eli Manning with way fewer starts and way more injury history.
He got hot for a run in the playoffs and got paid because of it.
But apparently rocdee has a hard on for him and is butt hurt about the love Minshew is getting, seeing as Minshew has played fairly well for a 6th round rookie from Washington State behind an OL that is probably somewhere closer to the bottom of the league than the top with a coaching staff that is likely closer to the bottom of the league than the top and a defense that can't figure out if it is bad average or good from week to week.
But ya know......... hot takes.

I think one.... maaaaybe two people said "elite"
Most have said "good" or "one of the better teams in the NFC"
but... feel free to prove me wrong there, eh?

Biggest weakness: Scoring points
So far, this hasn't hurt the Saints because their defense is playing so well. They are a remarkable 4-0 since Drew Brees underwent thumb surgery but rank 25th in the NFL over the past five weeks in both yards per game (311.6) and offensive points per game (17.0). And it won't get any easier this week at Chicago. It's not as simple as just pointing to the switch at QB, where Teddy Bridgewater has been more efficient than electrifying. The Saints rank 27th in the league in red zone efficiency over that same span -- and first in offensive penalties. -- Mike Triplett

You won't hear it from me. The Bengals are currently on pace with Miami for the No. 1 overall pick. They're 0 - 6. They've been outscored 159 - 97 on the year. They boast the 29th ranked overall offense and 26th ranked overall defense. This should be a team win all the way through and it'll be disappointing if they don't win by at least two scores.
Now, with ALL of that said above. The Bengals have played some pretty tough opponents. Seattle, San Francisco and Buffalo are all pretty stout overall and have good defensive players and approaches. They got obliterated by the Steelers in week four. Lost a close game to the woeful Cardinals and they kept it interesting with an inconsistent Ravens offense.
Our team has lost two games in a row to two teams that should be fighting for an NFC Championship appearance towards the end of December, if not, possibly having home field advantage already locked up. There's NO EXCUSE for this [BLEEP] team to lose to the Bengals. I could make a case with the Jets being a potential loss or trap game with Darnold coming back from his mono recently and looking good against a stout Dallas defense.
But this game? Nope. Don't want to hear it. I expect Minshew to throw for well over 250 yards in this one. I expect him to find Chark and Westbrook early and often. Conley is also overdue for a big play at some point. Should be little to no turnovers in this game. Defensively they better not play like a bunch of creampuffs. With or without Ramsey. This is a winnable game.
Get it done.

He didn't have a bad game... the WRs did. Flip did. He played as well as he could have with WRs that lost their match ups and no TEs.
Doesn't matter what the Saints defensive ranking is... they had the WRs totally blanketed.
