He didn't have a bad game... the WRs did. Flip did. He played as well as he could have with WRs that lost their match ups and no TEs.

Doesn't matter what the Saints defensive ranking is... they had the WRs totally blanketed.

He had a bad game.
Oh boy, we're doing this again? The whole the-QB-didn't-have-a-bad-game-its-everyone-else game?

Oh man. Here we go.

Chark took the wrong angle on that INT. Westbrook also let up on a drag route that could have sustained a drive. The WR's were blanketed for most of the day but he also did have a near INT where he all but telegraphed it close on a sideline play. He's still a rookie. He's been hampered with that knee and groin injury for sure.

But they'll get it corrected this week. I didn't expect them to beat New Orleans nor Carolina. Was a little surprised they only lost by one score in each game and had some chances to take the lead. Growing pains. There isn't massive reconstruction being needed on offense right now. Just need to tighten up on sloppy play at times and not shoot themselves in the foot with penalties and then just figure out a way to get better on 3rd down.

He had a bad game.

For Blake Bortles that would have been a fantastic game.

It's all relative.

He's a 6th round rookie.

That's not a bad game.

Dwayne Haskins first game was a bad game.

You named two plays where the WR was at fault. Were they also at fault for the INT and fumbles he has?

lol at a bad game being relative. My goodness.

I also mentioned he damn near telegraphed an INT earlier in the game... But okay.

Nobody is giving the rook a free pass here. Unless it's that Jagsbch guy. LOL.

Nope..

We've just seen REALLY bad QB play from 3 - 4 year vets... this is not a bad game compared to those 3-4 INT with 2 taken back for TDs games.

But hey I guess I'm glad our definition of bad has really changed.
@caldrac, I got you, bro
@TrivialPursuit, so then let's slow down because Minshew has shown some good signs. You made the point, we're used to really bad QB play. I get it, when we see flashes, we get excited. But lets temper it. Let the youngster grow.
I’m smelling 2008, Week9, all over again

You're got to be trolling at this point but whatever works for you
I love that the entirety of the thread about the next opponent is just the board reminiscing about inferior attempts at chili and the same argument about our QB as in every other dang thread.

Growing up in Cleveland, I nothinged the Bengals then, too.

Definitely... it's nice to think our team finally lucked out in the draft... because we've had 20 years of 1st round fails.

There was also a mid-to-deep throw along the sidelines where e receiver (Lee?) gave up and slowed down. It looked like it would’ve been a decent gain. I don’t think it’s unreasonable to believe that this wasn’t a bad game by the rook.
Listen, when you only manage 6 points on offense there's PLENTY of blame to go around. All in all, collectively? They played like [BLEEP] on Sunday.

Umm, yeah.

Surely no one is going to confuse the Bengals' defense with being an "elite" unit. That'd be the hot take of all time, lol.

Bengals defense is terrible.
Okay, they have Geno and Dunlap. But they're not performing at the level of prior years.

Dre Kirkpatrick is bloody awful. You can count on him getting burnt once or twice per game in addition to committing 2 or 3 critical penalties.

If the Jags' OGs hold up (cough, cough, Norwell), the offense should be in good shape.
“ Jaguars Open as 3 Point Favorites vs. Bengals “

Ha ha..........good one.

Dre isn't even playing too. So it's his backup lol
Chark 5+ catches, 150+ yards and a pair of TD's.
Early forecast says heavy rain on Sunday in Cincinnati.
