I’m surprised I have not seen this discussed more. Marrone SHOULD be fired at season’s end, barring a miracle run to the playoffs.  With that being said, who replaces him? I think it should be an offensive mind to help groom Minshew.

Possibilities?

Mike Mccarthy- I hope not but seems like a move they could make.

Kellen Moore- Jerry Jones will try very hard to keep him in Dallas and will likely succeed. His offensive system has been very impressive to this point.

Lincoln Riley- no way he leaves for the NFL for anywhere besides maybe Dallas.

Harbaugh- maybe but I suspect he will go to a large market team. He also wears out his welcome quickly.

Defilippo- wouldn’t surprise me if they made this move. I don’t like it. I don’t like his system much but I can see them talking themselves into this easy move
Said it several times throughout last week and this week. I really am all for Mike McCarthy being here. Wouldn't bother me at all. I wouldn't mind them maybe poaching a defensive assistant to take over for Wash from say a team like Dallas, Chicago or San Francisco as well. All of the best teams right now are over in the NFC. I don't see the AFC taking the Superbowl at all this year.

But as of now for me it's the following candidates:

1. Mike McCarthy
2. Greg Roman
3. Kellen Moore
Eric Bieniemy

Mike Leach, so Minshew will have an MVP award next season  Banana

But Mike McCarthy would be a good choice.
Jags are super cheap when it comes to paying their coaches so I'm thinking we go with Taggart

But Mike McCarthy would be a good choice.  #2 choice

and like mentioned above .... JDR for DC
Regarding the Cowboys, Kellen Moore is one of two Assistant Coaches that likely will get at least one NFL HC interview this coming winter.

Kris Richard, who calls the Cowboys Defensive plays, is also highly regarded in NFL coaching circles.
1. Eric Bieniemy
2. Kellen Moore
3. Brian Schottenheimer
Last week, Matthew Stafford had high praise for Kellen Moore, his former teammate:

Matt Rhule from Baylor will be a hot candidate from the college ranks. Also worked for Coughlin in 2012 so the connection is there.
It's going to be Lincoln Riley, and Khan is going to give him a blank check. Riley will then hire a tried and true, veteran DC to handle the defense, and to lean on at times.

it is written
Just as long as it isn't another retread, I'll be OK with whomever. We've been bad for so long. I just want to try someone risky instead.
It depends on who is doing the hiring. If it is TC then we have limited options that he has worked with and I doubt he has made any knew contacts.

If it is Khan or Tony, then it opens the options up a ton.

Is no one going to mention Byron Leftwich??
Kevin Stefanski

Young up and coming offensive mind who’s currently being mentored by one of the better offensive coaches in the past decade and a half.
Just give me someone who shows emotion after a loss and that's a good start.
I'm good at this game:

1. Lincol Riley

2. Matt Rhule

3. Eric Beiniemy

4. Xxxxx Xxxxxxxx

5. Mike Leach

As another poster alluded to, just blank check one of the first two options.
Dude at Minnesota (Gophers, not Vikings) is doin a heck of a job. I’m not gonna pretend to really know enough schematically about most coaches to speculate though. Just throwing him out there. Moore has looked great but probably a little green for my tastes. Kid obviously has a fantastic football mind though, I wouldn’t hate it.

No. He's not ready.

That's a good candidate as well.
