This system of not paying showed don how to get rid of his own debts while collecting millions as salary - and then bankrupting his own companies. Then he would simply start another company. He mastered gaming the bankruptcy system.

No offense, but if you paid a contractor in full when you weren't happy with his work without him correcting it speaks more to the type of person you are than anything involving ethics or common sense.

It's basic business actually. It happens in IT as much as construction. That is why you have milestones and payment schedules.
