I'd love to get Lawrence and have the Rams record be bad enough for us to get another top 10 pick. T Law and Ja' Marr Chase. Doesn't matter who gets picked after that. We finally win the draft no contest.

I'm scratching my head at ur draft analysis.  Did u think we were coming out of this draft competing for 500 next year?  I'm plenty happy building the team and setting up for Lawrence and another dynamic playmaker next year if we don't have to trade our other 1st to get TL.  Minshew will put up stats but if we are not SB chance ready, I want to get as many stars as possible and drafting mid teens isn't going to make me happier.  Minshew needs to look like the future this year.

This team could've been .500 coming out of this draft if they built the offense. Instead they spent their capital on the wrong side of the ball. You wanted stars and they drafted stopgaps, injury prone players, guys who have to learn the position...what they hell, did we rehire Gene Smith and his "Smartest Dumb Man in the Room" strategy?

I expected this team to help its 2nd year QB out that helped them win football games in spite of them trying to force Foles on us and the team like it was a play date with your girlfriend's best friend's boyfriend.

I was under the impression Caldwell and Marrone's life was on the line in 2020. Not many of this weekend's selections indicate that. Minshew will have a hard time succeeding with little to no efforts made in improving the oft injured and inconsistent offensive line.

The Fournette situation doesn't help neither.

Hey, we'll hold every team to 24 points next year.

Too bad we'll only score 7 ourselves.

Great (optimistic) read

He is basically every Jags QB. Checks down all the time, not accurate even close, gets passes batted down, etc.

Sure his 28-3 ratio is great, but when you don't take risks, you don't throw INTs.

He's 6'7. He should be throwing passes over everybody's hands and reach at the line. Hopefully he's not stiff in the pocket like Tanner Lee.

That's IF they manage to be bad enough to draft him in 2021. Cleveland could tank and replace Mayfield. Detroit could be awful. Chicago could be awful. Same for Las Vegas.

Just depends on how 2020 plays out. But now I just want to root for Minshew that much more. I really do. I hope he wins enough games in spite of this front office passing on top tier lineman, receivers while trying to trade Fournette without addressing that position.
Minshew, Chark, Allen, and Shenault will eek out some wins for us

I appreciate you're honesty and have had my issues with drafting OL and/or TEs for the past 2 to 3 yrs.  We'll see if the line holds up and how Minshew handles things.

I didn't think their life was on the line as soon as they let Campbell and bouye etc go.  I knew the time would come after 17 but as soon as the rebuild started, I knew they were set for 2.  I want Minshew to succeed but I also want a top QB.  I was ok with passing this year for the sake of getting one next year.

I guess I never had a playoff run with minshew this year in mind regardless of whatever, unless he looks like the franchise QB we've longed for.  I'm sure we will get a top tier OL next yr.

They draft OL and WR in the first round and then when every team is throwing for 300+ yards on us next year everybody is whining why we didn’t help the defense.

We got Eifert, Shenault, and Johnson this off-season + hopefully a healthy Oliver. That’s help.

Yeah, OL improvements would have been nice, but many vets will be cut who can upgrade over Cann. We can’t fix every single hole in one off-season.

We get you hate him and the pick.

If it's that bad, maybe its time for you to find another team since everything is horrible over here.

That's if they all catch onto Gruden's system and if the pass protection improves. I feel like they made every effort in free agency to improve the defense and then did [BLEEP] all on offense. Just doesn't make much sense with a 2nd year QB starting for your team.

Fournette on the trading block after the "depth" behind him was under utilized last year? And no efforts were made to address his replacement? Could be a major issue. It"s like they want Minshew to fail.

Per the article "Additionally, for a guy nearing 6’7, Luton certainly gets a lot of passes either batted or altered at the line of scrimmage."

He has poor throwing motion if he is getting passes batted down.

I've tried explaining this multiple times but its evident that the blinders are on and they are hell bent on rage lol.

If it's not one thing it's another. We go with their wishes and are shotty defense gets gashed horribly in the running game like last year and torched in the passing game. Then its "why was the defense so bad, we should have done something about it!!!11on1!!!"

I hate the philosophy of this draft, because this is a league built for teams to win by scoring points. I will stay here and say my piece Pollyanna, as is my right, you keep on pretending everything is sunshine. Next year, when we end up without your golden boy and we're stuck with the same old [BLEEP] again, I'll still be here [BLEEP] about it while you pump that sunshine about how great all this is.

All the more reason to ask the following question. Why the hell does Todd Wash still have a job here? Even when the defense was loaded he was getting heat from the locker room about his scheme and approach to the game.

They signed four or five players on defense in F.A. They spent six of their first eight picks on defense. Sounds to me like the talent has to be well above the coordinator's coaching ability and scheme ability to succeed here.

We have a well known track record of injury concerns with Robinson and Linder. Robinson is probably one of the most penalized LT's when healthy. WR is NOT stable. Chark had a breakout year. Teams will notice him more.

I agree. You can't fix it all in one off season. But, they pretty much went 80% defense this off season. And left their 2nd year QB with a lot to be desired. When the offensive line goes to [BLEEP] for the 2nd year in a row.

Just remember the first round picks.

I like the Schobert pickup to give Myles some help but with no corners and no Safties, I'm smh at ur improve the defense comment.  Like with who, Rodney gunter idk. Defense was going to be gashes all year if we did nothing and now we have a fighting chance if S isn't as bad as it looks.  The other CB spot as well.

I'll remember this at the end of next year when I check to see if Minshew is the most sacked QB in the league, with one of the worst OL.
