Liberal heads are exploding everywhere.

Bit rich to say don't be afraid of Covid after getting probably the world's best/most expensive treatment. Or is he offering such treatment to all?

Jennifer Rubin's a Never Trump Republican.  She can hardly imagine being a Democrat either, but, here we are.

He talked about how the media used to compete for all of the American audience, but that the internet forced them to compete for a segment of consumers. This caused companies to craft narratives that fed their base. He discussed how journalists intrinsically pick up on the headlines that make the companies the most money, and, more importantly, how important it is for the media company to never shift from the narrative they create because it causes a mass exodus of listeners. He did a really interesting segment on Trump, and about how much money he makes these companies.

News needs to be made non-profit. It's the only way to save us.

And how do you do that in a way that doesn't piss all over the 1st Amendment?

Anyone can report on anything, but they can't call themselves a news agency if they are trying to make a profit. Don't think it would keep leftists from eventually overtaking those positions, but at least there's a standard. I honestly don't really have an answer for the media, dude. I don't know how you solve this problem. It's a real problem, though.

She is one of many "Never Trump Republicans." Prior to the report on his taxes, the breakout of the virus in the White House and his maskless photo-op tonight, I was afraid we'd have to wait until all the absentee ballots came in before we'd all know this 4 year nightmare would shortly be over. Now, the results should be undisputed once the votes have been counted on election day. It will be a Biden landslide and Trump's antics will also enable the Democrats to take control of the Senate. Trump can go back to being on reality t.v., the only job which he ever succeeded at.

It's like they don't understand that once you get the virus you can't get it again and can't spread it either once you recover.

I have to think the bad old days of W. R. Hearst were worse than what we see today.
Back then, the media was probably more dishonest and more partisan.
The difference was, while each media outlet had different politicians they loved and hated, the politicians didn't feel beholden to their favorite media outlet. They could go against the narrative if they thought their narrative was wrong.
The Democratic party is still that way to some extent because a Democrat can play Tronk and Viacom and Turner and ABC off each other.  The Republicans can buck Fox News' journalists, but they can't buck Fox News' punidts.
But both parties need to figure out a way to be more independent of the media machines that broadcast them.

Does the CDC guidance say you're not contagious anymore if your symptoms have abated? I thought it said you had to wait like 10 days or something.  We had a guy at work get it and we made him stay home for 2 weeks even though he was better after the first week.

The guidelines were 24 hours after fever or symptoms stop. It was 10 days with no symptoms. Not sure if they changed since I got it since they always change their opinions.

That's not supported by science. Exposure MAY give you limited immunity (unproven), but studies have shown the antibodies fade fairly quickly, making one vulnerable again.

And yet no one has tested positive a second time in the entire world .... science be dammed

Then a vaccine isn’t going to be very effective either if that’s the case.

Then a vaccine isn’t going to be very effective either if that’s the case.

From the article:

At the same time, a decline in antibodies doesn’t necessarily mean that protection disappears entirely or that a vaccine won’t be effective. Certain immune system cells store information about viruses to create new antibodies if needed, according to The Associated Press.

“This shouldn’t dissuade us from pursuing a vaccine,” Buddy Creech, an infectious disease specialist at Vanderbilt University, told the news outlet. “Antibodies are only a part of the story.”

Yes they have. A man in Hong Kong tested positive for it twice; once in April and again in August. Read the article.

So you suggest a law abridging the freedom of the Press?
