Herm Edwards had it right.

So you would rather a win against the Bears this week than multiple possible SB's and the best QB prospect since Peyton Manning?  I dont think anyone is saying the players should try to lose just as a fan this is a possibly a one in a lifetime opportunity for us and we need these next 2 losses to get one of the All time great QB prospects.

I'm saying that I grew up playing competitive sports since I was in grade school.  I was taught never to give up and no matter what always try to win.  I would like to think that the professional players and coaches on this team have the same mentality, no matter the record and they make every effort to win.

As I said before, Herm Edwards had it right.  If the game "just doesn't matter anymore" because of the record, it's time to leave the sport.  That goes for players and coaches.

A perceived "best QB prospect since Peyton Manning" doesn't mean "multiple SB wins".  For all we know Trevor Lawrence could be just another "Johnny Football".
I really hope they don't Jaguar this gift up.  I can totally see them winning another game to screw us.

[BLEEP] moron.

Thx, I spit up my drink when I read that.  Hilarious but also agree!

Sending him packing with some oscar meyer parting gifts.
I have a feeling that the Jags are going to have a "Covid" outbreak saturday and with the 10 day rule, that will put several key players out of both week 16 & week 17 to secure the tank.

Dude you have Tunnel vision.  Whats the real difference between 1-15 and 3-13?  We are still trash. The Jags have a real shot of securing a franchise QB that could help this team win for over a decade.  I do no agree with you at all on this.

Once again, I dont think anyone is saying the players should go out there and try to lose.  Of course they won't, but what people are saying is whats best for this franchise is lose the next 2 games.  I hope the players play their hearts out but lose so we get one of the best QB prospects ever.

If you have a choice, and players play their hardest either way, to win the Bears game and lose Lawrence or lose the Bears game and get one of the best QB prospects ever you want to win the Bears game and lose Lawrence?
This isn't tanking for Teddy or tanking for Haskins. This is to get one of the All time great QB prospects, cmon man

His approval isn't mandatory for this to happen, lol
They have been playing to win all season. Each QB gave them the best chance to win. Blah blah blah. Even if the Colts try to hand us a win this team is plain bad.

Ryan Leaf was considered an all time great QB prospect. So was Jeff George. Brady was considered a project. The reality is, no one knows until they get to the league.

Wouldn't he of went over Manning?  So was Luck, Elway, Manning, Burrow etc.  Of course there is always a chance but he has every trait you look for in a QB.  He is 85-3 since High School, dude is the whole package. He won a championship as a freshman, his traits are almost elite in every aspect

Exactly. He isnt just the top rated QB coming out this year, his numbers are crazy impressive. 2 Championship games in 2 years and the only thing stopping him from making it 3 was missing one game due to Covid.

Awesome. Let's win these 2 for the gipper and stay on the same track!
I've never pulled for the team to lose until now. It’s really that type of situation. Being the QB is the most important position, and this prospect looks to be elite, there isn't another choice, really. Now, does the team tank? Not really, but I'm not so sure that issue is really black and white. It's said that no one tanks because they're all playing for jobs and really owe nothing to the franchise. That’s largely true, but what about players with years left on their contract and are still of value to their franchise? Would any of those players like to see an serious upgrade at the league's most important decision?

Show yourselves....

Oh I'm one of them. I've vehemently said "always win" and I meant it. But that was also when the options to lose were for draft picks not of this caliber. For a franchise altering, generational QB..... go ahead and lose. I'll be the first to say I've done a 180 in that regard in this situation.
qb isn't the majpr problom,if we can't protect the qb the qb will get creamed every week. treber won't save the franchise, nor will any qb. 1 player doesn't make a team. jags need a offenssive line to protect the qb . we could have any qb that won super bowls past or present, and we would still be loseing with this o-line

Even if you fell that way we still have 11 other picks and 2nd most in cap space

Tell that to the Bengals and how different they are with and without Burrow.

Are you still mad Minshew isn’t good?

The “reality” is that an extremely good QB prospect, one with one of the highest grades ever, is coming out this year and it’s better to have him on your team than not.
