Quote:Would you prefer the Jags to lose the next two games and fire Gus in the bye week, or the Jags to win the next two games and commit to Gus for the rest of the season?

This is pretty much a dumb poll.
Quote:Won't work this way. Team would be a dumpster fire and probably win 4. Better off winning and seeing how it plays out.

Gotta disagree. I think they would be rejuvenated and play harder.

My thought process is this:

I don't think this soft team would feel motivated after their favorite cheerleader gets canned. They'd break and lose morale, they're wimps. Needs to start from the off season.
Quote:I'd like to see Gus right this ship. I keep hearing interview after interview with players talking about how they believe in Gus, and I do feel like his defensive scheme has the potential to shut down offenses once all eleven starters are zoned in and reacting instinctively as opposed to thinking about every little thing. If only we were able to have a little patience, but of course there is no time for patience because we need the Ls to turn into Ws immediately.
What player is going to hate a coach who gives them ice cream when they mess up?  I bet a ton of players don't like Bill Belicheck but he is a winner

Well, what ever happens, I'm willing to take that gamble.
My prediction before the season was that the Jags would lose the first two, win the next four games, and end up 6-10.

If I'm right we're stuck with Gus for a full season, but next year we can have a real coach.

Quote:Hahaha! I'm 28 and my older brother and I did the exact same thing except he dumped Carolina for Tampa and now follows them and the Bills bc he still lives in Western NY
We are one in the same Skeet.

I'm 31 and became a fan from day 1 because of the colors and mascot. My one brother chose to be a Colts fan and my other brother chose to be a Titans fan. This is all before all 3 teams were in the same division. It's insane.

That has to be a fun rivalry between you guys. My brother in law is a Colts fan so I loved giving him hell last year after the blowout.
Just win, baby
I'd prefer to win and upgrade whenever we can. As always.
Ideally we could win and fire Gus. I can't wait til he gets canned. I'm gonna celebrate with confetti, a smoke machine, laser show. And make a big bowl of ice cream! #FireGus
A win here or there isn't going to save Gus' job. If the team underperforms expectations, he'll lose his job when the time comes.
Is this a message board record. Only two games in and already tankers?

He'll lose his job this season, or immediately after it's over. The only question at this point is when. If he's still the coach for game 5 after two more losses going into the bye, then we fans have a much bigger problem than just the coach.

What I want to see is Gus winning the next 14 games and get a contract extension because of how good he is. Its not like I have a personal vendetta against Gus if he is a good coach I'd want him to stay with us forever.. If hes not then I want him out.

What I am interested to know is what if we win 1 of these next two games? Does he stay for the season?

We won't, and he won't.

If that one game is the Colts game, then probably.

Boselli is saying this Ravens game is a must win. ...well, it's only a must win because going into London at 0-3 vs the Colts is not ideal... but it's not a must win. The real must win game is next week.

That said, I'm truly hoping this team goes 2-2 because that would put the Jaguars right back where they were in the preseason as far as being a legit contender this season.

 That's my take as well.

Even if the Jaguars win the next two games,  if the team doesn't meet the overall season expectations of Shad Khan,  at best Gus Bradley will only get a temporary stay of employment execution.
I always want to win, unless we've already been eliminated from playoff contention. There is a long way to go in the season, we could get this thing back on track.
