I love my Jags and hate to lose. But dang it if they lose we can finally get rid of this incompetent coaching staff for good. For me that's a huge win in of its self.

As a fan of a professional sports team,  one of the worst feelings is when you know deep down that it's best for your team to lose in order for change to occur.  Even under this circumstance,  the emotional part of me prevents me from rooting against my team.   But when all of the dust settles,  the realization is that the losses were for the best providing the changes produce much better results. 

I want the Jag-ywires to win this Sundae so I can watch an epic dance party in the locker room on Jag-ywires.com! We believe in victory!

You aint lying man. I root hard on Sunday's, but I'm realistic. I knew what Gus was year 1.

You knew what you thought he was year 1 but there was no way to know what kind of coach he was going to be in year 4.

 

The thought was that he would progress and he didn't. He was a bad coach then and is still a bad coach but there was no way to know he would be like this now.

Even though the quality of the Jaguars opponents in their 2nd half of the 2013 season wins wasn't good ( relatively speaking ),   I thought that Gus Bradley had plenty of promise as a HC because of those wins.  Especially,  considering the Jaguars talent issues at the time.  

 

At the very least,  I didn't expect the result of the game in San Diego this past Sunday.    I picked the Jaguars to win the game.  Though the Jaguars losing wasn't a major surprise,  the way the team lost was,  at least for me    If Bradley does end up losing his job during or after the season,   the Chargers game could well be the defining game of his coaching stay with the team.

Problem with winning some games is that you always know it could be better with a real coach and real staff.  If we win 6 games we could have won 9 with a legitimate NFL coaching staff.  As much as I want to win I just want him to go sooner than later.

Without a doubt I'd rather the Jaguars win two in a row and start looking like a legit NFL team. I don't believe in Gus at all, but I'd be fine with him turning things around.

Boselli is saying this Ravens game is a must win. ...well, it's only a must win because going into London at 0-3 vs the Colts is not ideal... but it's not a must win. The real must win game is next week.


 

That said, I'm truly hoping this team goes 2-2 because that would put the Jaguars right back where they were in the preseason as far as being a legit contender this season.

As difficult as it is to say this based on last week's fiasco, it wouldn't surprise me at all if the Jaguars win the next 2 games. The Ravens are not good despite being 2-0 and I just believe this game sets up like a Jaguars win, possibly by as much as 10-14 points. Indy is terrible despite having a very good quarterback and has not had the experience of playing in London.

 

Regardless of the team's record going into the bye week, the Jaguars will under-achieve until the coaching staff is changed. Bradley would make a good college head coach, but he is in way over his head in the NFL.
