Yeah, but Marrone is going to ruin him just like he did Gabbert.

doug is gone. we are getting a new GM,and HC sometime. it needs to be the right people though.

Id say its a 5% chance we accidentally draft Jennifer Lawrence but we are 100% getting a Lawrence with that pick.

Don't let that stop you from blaming him now!

Break out the Silver Linings Playbook.

That was bad even by my standards, which is pretty low.

Not bad.  I laughed.

As painful as it is to do so, I hope everyone remembers this era in Jaguars history and appreciate what we will have in Trevor Lawrence.

If he plays as well as scouts expect him to play, if the team gives him the help he needs and builds well around him, this era to come will be the golden age of Jaguars football.

Gone should be the days where idiots knowing nothing about football reflexively say the Jaguars are sorry with the confidence of accuracy, and replaced by even casual fans that have a sense of respect towards the teal black and gold.

Gone should be irrelevancy and ambivalence from perceptions of this team, replaced by fans of other teams worried about how they will manage to get passed us.

Gone should be the days of no national television exposure, replaced by the Jaguars being the center of network coverage.

Gone should be the seasons whose hope expires by late October, to be replaced by many years of late season anticipation and contention.

Gone should be the days of offensive breakdown after breakdown to be replaced by offensive excellence.

Gone should be empty stadium seats or seats filled with opposing teams fans and replaced with eager and excited fans filled with our own.

Gone should be the days where other teams fans ask us where our tings are to be replaced by fans who gaze in awe and wonder about the trophies in our case.

I am excited about the possibilities Trevor Lawrence represents.
This is not news to me. It was clear he was entering the draft weeks ago. With that said, I know a lot of people doubted that, because over the years we have been disappointed over and over again, so it's understandable. To me, this year feels much different though. I'm usually a "glass half empty" guy, but I'm very optimistic about this upcoming season. For the first time in ages, it feels good to be a Jags' fan. I like this feeling.
I think some people, me included, weren't sure because things always happen. We passed the first hurdle now and next step is the new GM/HC combo. I personally worry about every single candidate but just like before Tlaw declared it's mostly the feeling I don't trust Jaguars management to not screw up things.
“Jags should win the last 2 games of the year!”

Thank god they didn’t.

Like many have said before, this could be the true turning point for the franchise. What Elway did for Denver. What Manning did for Indy. What Joe Burrow may be able to do for Cincinnati.

Does 15 losses suck? Absolutely. But if going 1-15 means the Jags get a chance to take Lawrence which can then lead to 10-15 years of playoff runs and possible SBs? All in.
I'll be willing to roast in the sun this season to watch the Jags.

After TL kills it the first season (hopefully) the cry should go out by everyone for a stadium upgrade.

That's what I want to see.. Stadium upgrades..
If lawrence comes here and doesn't live up to the hype, I don't want to see anyone bring up in these threads that makes them say, 'yep, should have taken so-and-so instead of Lawrence' or 'look how far so-and-so fell in the draft! We could have gotten him instead!'

It wasn't even a bad 1-15 year though. I know that sounds stupid(15 losses suck) but we really were competitive in a lot of games this year and its not like there wasn't a lot to like about this team. Our new shiny RB will thrive with a real QB in the offense, Chark should see more production as the entire offense will too. I think this team will be a dark horse wildcard next year, granted we find a decent IDL and a CB.
LETS GOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

My expectations is an above average starting QB. What about you, anyone else?

Could be the most important pick in our history. Sounds like hyperbole but it is that important. If he turns into a bust it will absolutely crush what remains of the fan base. No pressure Trevor! Lol.
Now let’s put a winning roster around this kid and win some efing football games!!!
I was definitely nervous because I feel like we can never have nice things, something was going to happen.

But looks like this might actually be happening.

* when can we start preordering our Trevor Lawrence jersey? It's going to be a hot ticket item for sure.
You say goodbye, I say hello!
Jets fan in peace.

Congratulations on winning the race to #1. There’s a lot of talk on the Jets forum as to what the Jags are going to do, and whether the HC search was going to potentially influence the pick being Fields and not Lawrence.

I was just curious as to what you guys thought, and whether you think it’s a sure fire thing (as the NFL beat writers believe) that Lawrence ends up at the Jags.

Good luck next season.
