She's a traitor, a criminal and she died for somebody who doesn't give two [BLEEP] about her. Talk about being brainwashed, but I guess that's usually what happens when you join a cult.

The most frustrating thing in conversations with people on the more liberal side of the spectrum is this.  You folks continue to not understand that Trump is not the cause but a symptom.  Look at what is happening in the wake of Wednesday’s events.  Conservative platforms are being openly banned.  This is nothing new, the left has been silencing conservatives for years.  Disagree with an Obama policy-racist!  Oppose abortion on demand-misogynist!  Witness a democrat do some egregious act-observe silence from the legacy media or worse a blatant cover up.  Trump was championed by the right because he stood up to all of that and gave a disenfranchised segment of society a voice.  To make matters worse we are witnessing the left and their partners in the legacy media double and triple down on it, all the while calling for unity.

You're right that Trump is more a symptom than a cause.
The cause is snowflakery - as you highlight.
The older generation said, if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen.
If you can't accept that someone somewhere might accuse you of racism, don't discuss politics.
If you can't accept that someone somewhere might accuse you of misogyny, don't discuss politics.
Just because someone accuses you of something, doesn't mean it's true.
And in any case these accusations are usually attached to strawman arguments, in the form, "If you really think [exaggerated version of your beliefs that you don't actually believe], then you are [racist / misogynist / zoroastrian]!".  You can safely dodge such accusations.  "No, I said X.  Not Y."
Make sure you understand what offended you, and make sure the accuser actually understands you, before you just go and feel condemned and excluded.
I don’t care if someone accuses me of something, I care that my ability to not participate in those actions is diminishing. Conservative platforms are being banned outright, just look at how they are now attacking parlor. Conservative objections to socialist programs like the UBI and universal Healthcare are going to be overridden by a democratic house senate and presidency. My opposition to abortion is disregarded and I’m forced to fund it through taxes. My belief in free market is negated by socialist globalism. It’s not insults we oppose it’s actions we oppose.

They are attacking Parler because it is unmoderated and a haven not just for violent plans but also child exploitation.
A Twitter alternative might show up that aims to have moderation, but conservative-friendly moderation.

To the other things you point out, put up better candidates in the next election, and convince more of your neighbors to vote for them.  Til then, you can count on scotus to stop some of the BS and the rest you'll have to accept of the cost of a society that rules by consent of the governed.

You're not being punished just because your government will disagree with you.

They're attacking Parler because they have no say in how Parler is run..

And you want to talk about child exploitation?

You have no idea how many times I've reported links to child porn on Twitter..  More than I care to discuss..
Most child porn and exploitation are handled through anonymous gmail accounts. You don’t see Google taking a stand on that now, do you?

Is that an honest question?
What makes you think they're not?
I'm pretty sure google regularly scans their storage for any CP and cooperates with authorities on that issue...

The constitution doesn't split hairs on freedom of speech. It is what it is. If you want to be a dictator private enterprise and censor people whose political views you disagree with, move to another country and censor them. It's not welcome here.

There are exceptions to the first amendment.  You can’t use freedom of speech to defame someone, just like you can’t use it to incite violence or riot.
First Amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Did I say anything like that? No, I didn't. I said the Constitution doesn't split hairs....etc. Do I have to spell it out that child porn, sex trafficking, inciting violence, calling for the murder of anyone, etc., is outside of what the Constitution means? Do I really?

Not sure how that would help at all. Doing that makes those companies responsible for what's said on their platforms, so they would be much more likely to self-censor than with those protections in place. A person like Donald Trump would have been long gone before now if Twitter wasn't protected from litigation from things he said. So I don't see that quelling any cries of censorship.

And I'm not arguing against such action, those companies need to be responsible for what's posted on their platform. But it's not going to end this argument. In fact, it could amplify it. More inane phases like "cancel culture" being bandied about, to be sure.

The government isn't just the politicians anymore and we all know that. The politicians only have to nod their heads and pass pork-filled Bills to the liking of their corporate masters and those masters are all too ready to return the favor when it suits their agenda. In this case it's censorship against those with whom they disagree. Pray tell, what will it be next?

Sheesh, turn off AM radio, or whatever it is you get this nonsense from. Then let me know when the government itself gets to the business of banning speech. Post a bill from the legislative branch. Maybe an EO from the executive. Until then, you're wrong. Sorry.

I don't listen to the radio or watch cable news. I watch what Washington does and they do just what I said. They always have its just never been so blatant. Have you never heard of lobbyists? They're the legal prostitutes of DC.
