I don't want to see the team lose for political reasons. I want them to lose for the further cementing of evidence that Gus is in over his head at this point.
I want us to win. I don't care about anything else. Have fun rooting for a loss.

TBH, I've been rooting for the Jags to lose because I wanted Gus gone last year. I don't want Bortles and the offense to become GREAT and the defense to start improving to where we are a consistent playoff team but can never win in the playoffs because of Gus.

I want to get a REAL head coach ASAP and hit the gas pedal!
What will be, will be.. But outlook seems bleak..

This is pathetic. You root for your team no matter what.
Quote:I'm invested plenty too and have my name on the All Pro wall at the stadium even though I was not in Jax when the franchise was first awarded. I have felt the rage and frustration many have felt. But you HAVE to want to win with 14 weeks left. Otherwise you are already in the off-season mode when there is still plenty of time to turn it around. Why invest so much all year long to give up week 2? If the writing is on the wall week 14, I don't blame people for that "must lose" wish. If Gus stays on this trajectory you will get your wish and he will be gone. Til then, try to stay positive as we face almost certain disappointment again this weekend.
I totally understand fans who can never pull for the other team. Even though I truly believe it is in their best interests to lose Sunday, I'm sure I'll be pulling for them to win Sunday as I sit in the close to 100 degree heat. It seems like you are a great fan and I respect your opinion, even though we don't agree.

Que cera, cera...  My sources say no
Whoever started this thread is an idiot. If you ever root for the opponent of the Jags, go become a fan of that team. We don't want you!
Roger Goodell, April 27th, 2017 @ 8:01 pm:"The Jacksonville Jaguars have traded the number 1 over pick to the Green Bay Packers in exchange for...Mike McCarthy?"

Go back to Iowa to your "Field of Dreams" where Gus Bradley takes the Jags to the Super Bowl.

Steal
Thats fine and you might as well head on out to Baltimore and catch yourself a Ravens game.
No thanks. I wanna win.

You should want Gus to succeed, so you should want your team to win. If we're winning, something is going right and Gus may have righted the ship. You want us to lose just so he'll get fired? You either really hate Bradley for certain reasons, or he ran your dog over.

Quote:Today we are hearing from some Jaguar fans and media that this Sunday's game against the Ravens is a "must win" for the coach and team. Same thing we heard before yesterday's debacle against the Chargers. I take the opposite stand; this Sunday is a "must lose" game for the fans who want to see things turn around sooner rather than later. The Chargers' game clearly showed that Gus and his staff are in "way over their heads." The score could have been much worse and San Diego is a below average team. If the team somehow rallies around their coach and beats the Ravens, it will simply prolong the inevitable. It would allow Caldwell and Khan to justify keeping the staff at least until the end of the season. The dedicated fans deserve better than a coaching staff that made too many mistakes to be counted yesterday. EVERYBODY likes Gus and they should. He is almost impossible to not like, but that does not make him a capable NFL head coach. Even the biggest Jaguars apologist, Tony Boselli, just said that the team's body language was different when they fell behind yesterday. Shad Khan, a brilliant businessman, should have already fired Gus today and named Marrone interim head coach. I know, he's not Vince Lombardi or Bill Belichek, but he did have a winning season as head coach of a mediocre Buffalo team with Tyrod Taylor as quarterback. If he doesn't get the team on the right track this year, I really believe Caldwell can find a strong candidate who would love to come to a team with the talent that this team obviously have. So, since Dave and Shad did not do it today, another embarassing loss on Sunday might force their hand or nobody would show up for the remainder of home games. As a lifetime Jaguars season ticket holder, it pains me to say:

"Sunday is a "must lose" game.

If this were week 4, and we were 0-3 and 3 games behind the Texans I'd probably agree.

Not quite sure what that means, but what else would you expect from an "idiot."
You don't have to root for a loss because Gus is gonna give it to you. Just chill and enjoy the unnecessary misery brought to you by this owner and regime.
Quote:Honestly, if we get the first overall pick, we probably need to pick a QB...  Again...

JW is never going to figure this one out.

I have defended Gus for over 3 years now. I wanted him to succeed because he is a genuinely good guy. He doesn't make excuses or throw his assistants "under the bus" like Del Rio. My point was he just doesn't have it as a head coach and it is in this team's best interests for him to be gone sooner rather than later.

And most importantly, I have a cat-not a dog!
