If Campbell would have slipped to 45, would you have picked him over Friermuth?
Tough call honestly. I guess at that point you go with whichever you believe to be a better player. But needs wise, we have no good Te's and presumably 2 good starting corners + sydney jones.

Sorry forgot I was talking to people like you who only know these guys names from Mel Kipers mock drafts. LOL

I've never mention Mel Kiper but ok.

Anyone who doesn't agree with your extremely dumb comments are people who either just watch ESPN or they are racist. Those are the only options your brain can come up with  Laughing

You are more than welcome to explain why you think the much more productive player we drafted being called the best safety in the draft was so funny to you instead of your worthless comment of a laughing emoji? Cisco is a monster and most people who have been paying attention to this years class during last season and not just once the nfl season ended knew cisco was a projected first rounder before he tore his ACL in october. But i know, you are an internet troll who would rather try and insult someone rather than have a conversation. Prove me wrong.

You are the expert and you were the one who claimed Cisco is x1000 better than Moehrig (which is extremly dumb).

Come on, tell me what exactly makes Cisco x1000 better than Moehrig? because, apparently, NFL teams don't agree with you. Daniel Jeremiah has Moehrig at #16 overall and Cisco at #117. I could link like 10 more sites who had Moehrig over Cisco but of course you are the expert, you know way more than them  Laughing Laughing

You do realize Moehrig fell a little because some medical issue, right?

Cisco injuring his knee is a huge reason why he dropped and why DJ rated him where he did. If he didn't come off surgery 6 months ago and played a full season he'd be at the top of the Safety board.

Moehrig played 33 games in college. He had 124 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 7 INTS, 21 PDs, 2 FF.

Cisco played 24 games in college. He had 136 tackles, 2 sacks, 13 INTS, 14 PDs, 2 FF.

Give Cisco 9 more games of production and those number aren't even close.

I do know Moehrig fell because of a medical scare, Little bit different than Cisco who tore his ACL in October. PS as I said before, you only know what you see from mock drafts.. point proven since all you can offer is to link other peoples opinion LOL. Cisco was likely going to be the first safety drafted prior to his ACL injury. Was mocked to us @ the rams pick we had for months during the season, where as Moehrig was a name most people hadn't heard yet. I could list out stats, such as Cisco having the same amount of INTs in his first season than Moehrig had in 3 years or the fact that he allowed less broken tackles/catches. Basically the only thing Moehrig has over Cisco is 2 inches of height and isn't coming off an ACL. We shall see how he recovers from that injury but if he does come back at 100% I fully expect him to be a very good safety for us at an extremely good value as a 3rd round pick. I'm not going to be able to convince a troll of my opinions tho.. so maybe let's resume this conversation at the end of the season when we've seen both guys play.

EDIT: BTW I'm not any sort of expert. I'm just more obsessed with football than I should be and I like to watch a lot of game tape prior to the draft so that when draft time comes around I have some sort of idea of the players we may take. I have no problem being told my opinion is inaccurate by someone who knows what they are talking about but if your opinion is coming soley based off what some guys on ESPN tells you, you're just wasting both of our time.
To tell you the truth, I wasn’t thrilled at the end of the draft. But the more I research these picks though, the more I like this draft. Especially if the injury concerns turn out like Myles Jack’s. I was hoping that we got Elijah Moore at #33 and Freiermuth at #45. Since we went pretty heavy on defense in FA, I was hoping we’d hit the offense hard in the draft. Then next year, we could fill the rest of the holes on defense. Well, it looks like Meyer is in win mode now.

And you know this how? where can we see this stat?
So let's see you say Cisco is x1000 times better and that's all you have to offer to prove your point? hahahahahahahahaha
You also think production is everything for a draft prospect? you should tell the 49ers.
Cisco had his ACL? And teams never take a chance on guys with injuries, right? like that team who drafted Myles Jack in the early second when people were saying he would only be able to play 2 or 3 years. Same draft, some people said Jaylon Smith would not be able to play football again, drafted early second too. Those were way worse than a guy coming from an ACL and yet they went way sooner.
I can tell you watched so many games from Cisco and Moehrig since you offered so much info on why Cisco is "x1000 better"  Laughing
3 Safeties were drafted before Cisco, 4 if JOK plays safety for the Browns, and yet, somehow, Cisco is way better than Moerigh  Laughing

You shouldn't be a scout, you should be a GM since you know better than everyone else, including NFL teams.
You were also in favor of trading Trevor for Watson hahahaha

Like i said theres nothing im going to be able to say to you to convince you one way or the other. The best thing to do is revisit this conversation at the end of the year and see which player was better.  Myles jack was mocked to us in the first round before jalen fell to us so im not sure where you are going with that and yes i would have traded the number 1 pick for a player like Watson of course this was all before the legal allegations that i had no clue about.

Cisco is legit
Everyone talks about how good of a center fielder Cisco is and the way he creates turnovers. He also lays the wood too, dudes a hard hotter

That Raven guy probably likes Cisco he just loves to argue with me for some reason.

The Jaguars selection of Andre Cisco in the 2021 Draft brought back memories of former Syracuse and Jaguars Safety Donovin Darius. Not many Safeties laid the wood as pronounced as 'Double D' did. He was also a participant on the Jaguars Forum.  Double D was a high caliber player and had a great appreciation for fans.  A class act!

Darius was always one of my favorite Jaguars players. Unfortunately, we've been looking for a Safety like him ever since he left.

Cisco laid the wood in college. Hoping that along with his ballhawking ability can translate to the NFL post ACL tear. Time will tell, but i'm fairly optimistic.

"Syracuse football dropped its third consecutive game to No. ... 1 pick Trevor Lawrence had his worst outing of the season on Saturday against Syracuse. The Orange dropped their third consecutive game to No. 1 Clemson, 47-21, but hung with the Tigers for three quarters."

Andre Cisco intercepted Lawrence in this game aswell.

Though Cisco definitely has a physical aspect to his game, I wouldn't rate him as highly as DD in that area.

Conversely, he is much better playing the ball than DD was.

Ultimately, I think he'll prove to be a tremendous asset in the secondary.

If I had to rank all time Jaguars safeties...

1.  DD
2.  Deon Grant
3.  Gipson
4.  Carnell Lake
5.  Reggie Nelson

I would have the exact same rankings and that is really pathetic. Especially considering Lake only played one full season for us in 1999, during the twilight of his career.

If a Safety had a combination of Reggie Nelson's ball skills and everything other than ball skills that DD provided, the end result would very likely be a many time 1st Team All Pro Safety.

You know, I held these guys in pretty high esteem, but thinking about it...yeah that is a pretty depressing list.  Gipson and Lake were only here for a year or two, and the team absolutely gave up on Nelson prematurely.  We have missed on too many picks.  Safety is not one of those hard to fill positions like QB.

LOL, it's illegal to hit now like Darius did.  Darius would be suspended every other week in todays game.  That's why offense's struggled back then.  If you came across the middle back then you were getting your clock cleaned.  Now it's a free pass!

I don't think stars like Tyreek Hill could survive the hits back in the day.
